So I know this video is old and you probs wont see this but i can't begin to tell you how much i appreciate the effort you put into editing these together so seemlessly. I actually have this version in my gorillaz playlist instead of the 3 seperate. Props man, whatever your doing these days i wish you the best of luck.
I love this. The demo makes me think of life and being surrounded by friends telling you to not get lost in heaven. Then as it slowly transitions into the original version, it's like you're passing into the next life and your soul ascends while your friends' words echo throughout the earth and resonates into heaven where the angels continue the chant. Then as it transitions into Demon Days, it's like you've entered the gates of heaven and you're finding the rest of your family and friends and you all celebrate finally being together again and you look back down on earth to see the rest of your friends that told you not to get lost in heaven. This mash-up is the only one I will listen to because to me, it has a story. Thank you for making this so amazingly.
I always see it as higher forces being disappointed with life on Earth, with the stuff we do to the environment, the wars we wage, and the way we only ever think about ourselves and never see the bigger picture.
Sick edit, man. Had to grow onto the demo at first but with that flawless transition between the two this is great. Thanks for making this, man! I'll be listening to this many times.
this mix is very beutiful, at the start i thought that are only the 3 songs on a same video, but the transitions are very dinamic and it start at the perfect moment, thanks man for this artwok
Amazing how you managed to merge the two versions, I always found them so incompatible and kinda diametrically opposed but loved both of them. Great work! Hope you see this in this 9-year-old video lmao
Wow bro, i see why the final was used as a commercial seller, but yeah i definitely thinks its sounds right together. I feel like im living in flesh in the demo and as i die thats the transition to what the theme of heaven is, but the truth is heaven is the suffering of living thus the title, demon days. Such visionary.
Demo: Partying with friends and drinking alcohol or doing drugs at night Original: Unconscious and risking death from an alcohol or drug overdose Demon Days: Need to sober up and cheer up now its a “brand new day” and the sun has risen The voice of a drunken or high Damon in the demo made me thought of the meaning in all these songs about overdosing and need to sober
Demos are always so interesting to me, Don't get lost in Heaven sounds like a completely different song compared to the one we got on Demon Days (barring the lyrics)
I like both, but Damon's drunken singing on the demo makes me burst out laughing.
Clbden775 Sounds a lot like Bob Dylan.
Wait what
Is he actually drunk?
@@mencshighlights3390 I think he’s just doing his 2d voice
This is so flawlessly edited together, thank you so much.

ElsieBarry too long didnt read
maybe when he gets drunk with his friends they spout off random nonsense that actually had some meaning

Wait a minute the instrumental of the first part was used in that Noodle dare interview video!
Kind of reminds me of something from little big planet, don't get lost in heaven at least.
Amazing

Slaps
Gorillaz is definitely the new pink floyd!
The first part also gives me ABBA vibes
demo is better than original
Really? To be honest I prefer the original as it sounds a lot better, as the demo sounds really odd and awkward.
I think the demo fit better with D-Sides, and the original fit better with Demon Days.
Y'all do realize that the original demo is the demo ?
The demo was fit more for the debut album's style
Nah they are both good.
Imagine if this cover was the real demon days cover lol😂😂
Lower pitch :(
Gibus Mann it sounds like the original
yeah what are you talking about?
