Wow how nice for all the people that don't live here. Oh don't worry about we locals, we can't walk or bike to where we were going. A five minute trip will now take 15-20 minutes. Hope we get to do the same for you.

Finally! I always speculated that those lights were designed to “trap” tourists on their way to Tahoe and entice them to stop for lunch and exploring the area since traffic is so bad.
Those old-timey thoughts need to go if that’s the case, and I’m glad safety saw the light. 🚦
Actually since I live in placerville I can tell you it's so we can get across highway 50 in the town to do our shopping and to live our lives, you people on highway 50 forget there's actual humans that exist up here and we like to go about our lives and you guys jam our streets and you don't give a thought about our needs. It is been such a blessing for us to get you people through faster so we can continue on with what we need to do.

The same 25% of the world who ALWAYS have a problem with whatever. Can’t quite get how” it’ll take a little longer to get around town” wasn’t already happening when the main road was a cluster. 🤷♀️
