Love it! How can I learn more of this?
This has simplified this process so much for me... I had been creating macros for a little while now and have a headache from the process I had been doing, but this has taught me so much to simplify and understand it so well... Thank you very much!
That’s so cool to read this comment! Very happy that it has simplified your macro creation process!🙏🏽
The "GroupOperator" tip is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! Great work!
Glad to hear that man! Always excited if someone can find use in my content! But that little feature is crazy powerful, especially if you want to reverse engineer remade packs so you get a better idea on how those were created! :)
Bro i'm searching for this information since 2 years ago. Thank you sooooo so much
Haha, super glad you liked it!!! Glad I finally delivered a solution for your problem! :D
@ 11:25 is the tip for reverse engineering .DRFX files
Thanks!
Correct - the best way to really learn something is to reverse engineer it and then give it a go to make it your own! Appreciate you Josh!
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Thank you for the video!
I tried to use this technique to break up the native DaVinci Titles and Effects with limited success.
for example, I opened the Crossdissolve transition and I got two dissolve elements, but what I was looking for was the expression code used to scale the dissolve effects by stretching the transition length on the timeline.
The expression codes were a particular target of study.
Was there perhaps something there that I missed, or should I perhaps look elsewhere to uncover useful expression coding? 🤔
@@JoshKaufmanstuff hey Josh!
No, you were absolutely right with the dissolve nodes, however, I think you missed the ‚modifiers‘ tab in the inspector as those transitions were built using ‚anim curves‘ and not expressions in particular!
Here’s an example of a transition I built which might help you figure out where and what to look for when reverse engineering and building transitions:

I hope this video will bring some more clarity on the topic of transitions!:)
@@JoshKaufmanstuff and here‘s another one, a little more complex, but both follow the same basic structure of using ‚anim curves‘ to built transitions!:)

This is a really helpful video! I've been searching for this info. Thank you!
You're more than welcome, super happy you liked it! :)
Thanks for taking the time to write a comment - highly appreciated! :)
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I am currently struggling with understanding what’s what in the text files. This was the last part of the puzzle for me to really up my macro game. So many others gloss over this. Great job, I’m a new subscriber. Thanks again
Hey David! Super happy to hear that! Yes, that’s why I made this tutorial and took an extra minute for the text files because I couldn’t find a tutorials that showcased this well! Once again, I am super happy to deliver the last part of your puzzle! Thanks for watching and an even bigger thanks for taking the time to leave a comment! That’s highly appreciated!!:)
Complicated but very comprehensive. Danke!
thankyou so much for your effort
You’re more than welcome, glad you liked it!:)
Awesome video Sebastian! Thank you for sharing this man!
Thank you, super glad you liked it! Also, thanks for the continuous support! :)
As someone who is quite OCD when it comes to organisation this is great man - thanks so much for sharing 🙏🏻.
I loved your previous video covering the macro tool so this is a perfect follow up and to be honest, it has made me want to experiment more with creating my own Fusion Titles.
Thanks for that man 🙏🏻.
Bangin' tutorial as always 🤟
Hey brother! Super glad to hear that man!
That's super great to hear! This also brought me to experiment with custom titles a little more and to be honest, it's always the same step so once you get the hang of it, it'll be super easy :D this would have been a tutorial I would have loved to watch as I was digging deeper into this topic but unfortunately the only tutorial on this was on Chinese lol so I had to watch it at 0.25 speed and just look at the actions this guy was doing, this paired with some resolve forums has taught me this hahah :D Super happy Gary! Creating own titles is fun, just go for it! :D
Glad to hear that once again and thanks for the crazy support brother!!
Cheers!! :)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals 🤣🤣🤣 playing the video @0.25 is genius man 😁🤘🤘.
And you never have to thank me for my support - it is my absolute pleasure 🤘. Have a great day man 🇩🇪👊🇮🇪
well this just blew my mind up and i cant wait to try this for my fusion titles and i was thinking to make a python script to apply that whole macro by a single press of a button . Let's see how it goes . anyways thanks man your'e a legend !
Hey hey! Have you tried it already? How did you like it and how did it work for you? Cheers!!🙏🏽
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals ya it works perfect man , and i added a separate macro key in the keyboard for it . so when i press that key , it basically presses " ctrl + space " , then " backspace " and types the macro name and hits " enter " in a fraction of second and the fusion macro gets applied . which is sick .
Thank you so much man for all the effort you putting into those videos! Amazing how detailed you explained this! Thank you!
Hey Alex! Very nice to hear that! Glad you liked it! :)
Thank you for sharing such detailed and valuable information! In most of the other macro videos they do not talk about the label control feature and how to organize the macro! This is great but a little complicated
You're welcome! Once you get the hang of it, that it's just the same step over and over again, it's not that complicated anymore! :)
Excellent Video!! best I have seen on this subject! Thank you for your time and Effort!!
Thank you! I made this video also because I felt like there aren't a lot tutorials about that feature that go this in depth on UA-cam! Super glad you liked it Alan! Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment man, highly appreciated! :)
Got some good stuff in here
Hey PeeJ!
Thank you man, super glad to hear that!! :)
Richtig Gut!!!! Vielen Dank für das Video. Sehr gut erklärt!
Hey!
I followed it. All worked good but All the Blend slider of all Merge not was not going inside the Label group. Everything else is going inside the group. Are merge node blending slider not supported via Label group? Please help sir.
Thanks bro for all your hard work. This is awesome!!
Thank you bro! Super happy you liked it and thanks for the continuous support! :)
Sir please make video about the characteristics of each effect tool in fusion like what delta keyer does, what alpha keyer does etc
Hey man! So you just want a video on the differences between each keyed in the fusion page, am I getting this right?
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals yes sir. The role of each effect tool.
That i can decide when i should use this tool or that tool.
@@abcd-nc9nf Okay, yeah I understand that! I'll note that down but generally said - try out each keyed for the given scenario and see how you get the best results! :D
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals sure sir.
Great job! Thanks!
Thanks man! Super happy to hear that!!:)
Thanks for the Video, Seb bro !
I want to break the macro single node back into it's original nodes before it was turned into a macro. Can you help with this, please?
Hey Raj!
That’s easy - put the macro node I to a fusion comp and press ctrl+c, now open a text editor and press ctrl+v.
Then you see a bunch of text - at the top you see something like ‚Macro Operator’ just change the ‚Macro‘ there to ‚Group‘, then press ctrl+a, then ctrl+c and then jump into the fusion page and click into your nodes editor and press ctrl + v - now you should see all nodes within a group - just double click to open that group!:)
Do you have any course to master Davinci and Fusion in this way? I would like to be able to create my own tools by understanding. Very good video.
what if i wanted to create an "action" for my streamdeck where the action adds a new track and duplicates a track's clips on to the new track, scale them up and add a gaussian blur
Hi , after creating a macro (a text with entry and exit animation) in Fusion, when importing it in the Edit tab, how do I adjust the entry and exit animations as we adjust the size of the clip? I don't know if I'm explaining myself, that is, what I want is that when I import a macro to the timeline in the Edit tab, the entry and exit animations are adjusted whether I want the clip to last 30 frames, or that if it lasts 500 frames. I want the enter animation to be at the beginning of the clip and the exit animation to be at the end of the clip, regardless of whether I shorten or lengthen the duration of the clip.
I think I once saw how it was done but I don't remember how or where. I hope you can answer. Thank you very much!
Hey! For sure I know what you mean and I can help you!
You would use a "keyframe stretcher" node for that at the end of your composition. Hit "shift+spacebar" to open up the search tool, then type keyframe stretcher and add that to your composition right before your media out node.
Then you can set the frames where resolve should stretch/shorten the animation accordingly and now, if you enlengthen or shorten your text, the animations will be at the start and end of that animation! :) Hope this was helpful to you! :)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Yessss thats it!!! Thanks!!!!!!!
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals well you solved my another problem , your'e genius .
thanks you for the tutorial, i have one question, i have 5 sec long title with in and out animation, how can i make the title only 2 sec but only cut the title? i try anything but fail, maybe u know, thanks..
What do you mean by how you can make the title only 2 seconds but only cut the title?
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals im so sorry, i mean, its like "text box swipe in title" if we cut the duration, booth of the title have in and out animation, even if i cut in the middle, or if u change the duration, still have in and out animation di the end of title and animation in the middle is slowing down, sorry for my bad english, still learning, thanks for replying
Hi maybe is a dumb question but existe something like "keyframe stretcher" but you can cut your keyframes and be in less time ? I mean the opposite of keyframe stretcher
Hey J Scott - not a dumb question, for sure! Just use the keyframe stretcher, it works both ways, to stretch your keyframes and to shrink them ( or better said the time)! :)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Thank you so much!!!!!!, btw what a great video you save my day
I don't know what to choose when exporting MACRO so that after using Template, I can adjust the Regtangle on Playback like adjusting Regtangle MASK
Fusion is difficult, because i use Asus ZenBook Duo ux482.. 16gb Ram
Haven't heard of this laptop but with 16gb of ram you can definitely handle some smaller fusion comp's very well! I also only have 16gb of ram! :) Just try and see how far you can push this laptop, I believe you can go quite far, but I recommend to not use multiple applications simultaneously!
Hi!)) I made a transition and saved it as a macro, but it does not change when I stretch and compress (lengthens-shortens) animation. How to fix it?
Hi!
Have you created the transition with the anim curves tool?
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Yes, I was in "Spline", in the fusion tab, creating key points and curves animation. Hmm... Maybe in the setting itself in a text editor to register a piece of code of some kind? The macro works, but it doesn't bind to the end of the animation...
@@trent-rachowski hey! Okay, then I know where the problem is.
You have to use the anim curves tool to make the responsive, you can watch a guide here where I also create a transition using it!:)
ua-cam.com/video/_G3fnZw1seQ/v-deo.html
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals so, ok. thanks. I watched the video. so there is no way to translate curves from a Spline into animated curves?
@@trent-rachowski hey, the anim curves is a modifier (if you right click on a property in the inspector tab - modify with - anim curves)
Then you can create the transition within that anim curves modifier, using either pre-built curves or create your own under ‚custom‘
Thanks
You're welcome! :)
您看起来忠厚老实,但讲的内容却非常酷。非常感谢。
I'm not getting the macro option once I select my nodes any solution?
This might be the case when you just right click into the free space, try right clicking directly on a node!:)
@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals okay thanks a ton!
@@willyrodrigues4889 you’re welcome! Hope this solves the problem!:)
you talk too much...
Would you suggest to talk less and therefore skip 50% on the important stuff?
It’s kinda needed to talk in a tutorial, to explain things correctly!:)
