The anniversary performance "Jielemen aavoe - The Joy of Life" is a celebration of the Sámi National Day and the 100th anniversary of the first Sámi national meeting held in Trondheim in February 1917. Artists, musicians, actors, dancers and artists from all over Sápmi participate on stage.
The anniversary performance is produced by the Sámi National Theater Beaivváš in collaboration with the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation.
«The silent voices» dance has two parts. A solo on point with sign language danced by Nora Svenning and Sámi folk dance "Sámi kadrill" as taught by Semen Bolshonov and Olga Egorova from Lujávri/ Lovorzero Russia.
