- On September 19th, Azerbaijan once again initiated a conflict against Nagorno-Karabakh. After being under a blockade for nine months, the people of Karabakh couldn't withstand the situation, and just a day after the new conflict began, they declared capitulation. Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Karabakh did not intervene in the conflict. Russia turned away from Armenia and started cooperating more closely with the Turkish-Azerbaijani alliance. At this moment, Armenia finds itself alone on the global stage without effective support from any country.
Currently, Azerbaijan also aims to start a war and take over the Syunik region of Armenia. If successful, this would allow them to establish a land connection with Nakhchivan and unite the entire Turkic world. In this upcoming war for Syunik, without the support of a strong country, Armenia will likely be unable to resist Azerbaijan, which is supported by Russia and Turkey. The loss of Syunik would mean the loss of the entire country for Armenia.
In such a dire situation, will Armenia resort to nuclear weapons against Azerbaijan? International experts believe that Armenia possesses such capabilities. Armenia has a nuclear power plant and warehouses of enriched uranium that could potentially be used to create a dirty bomb. Additionally, the Armenian military has systems like the Iskander and the R-17 Elbrus, which could deliver such a bomb to the Azerbaijani capital, Baku.
