Nice Cozy Stuart, and great video. My Trio autopilot was well worth the $$ and effort. I have carried three people many times but not four yet, and I can still get two folding bikes in the back. I had the windows on the front sides.

Great video and build. I'm receiving Cozy Mk IV plans for Dad's day, 2022. I might see if you would be interested in sharing more about the 6" dia. Fuse mod and the CF substitutes. Excited! Thanks again!

Brilliant job. I have adored the cozy design since I first learned about it. Would you mind answering a few questions? I'm certain that I can afford to build it, but that's really not the primary cost of any aircraft. What does it cost to insure, operate, and maintain it? After all, what's the point of building something one can't actually afford to use? Have you flown in ground temperatures above 80°f and/or below 50°f. I ask because I'm trying to learn how comfortable is the interior of the cabin outside of what most people would consider comfortable temperatures? I like your modifications a lot and if I opt to pull the trigger on this project will likely incorporate the same ones & maybe a few of your suggested modifications as well. Thanks for sharing this video and your insights.

I have flown it down around 30 degrees, it is a bit chilly inside, and getting a lot of heat in the cabin is not easy, that being said it you can get the air leaks sealed in the nose its very tolerable.
I have also flown it above 80, the cold air vents do a great job for me, but if it gets too hot ( any GA airplane ) I just climb out of the heat
So now the cost question, operating any aircraft is not cheap, a homebuilt has some pluses and minuses
      Plus
-If you build it you can do all the maintenance on the aircraft, including annuals
-you can use much cheaper non certified parts, lights, radios, instruments, engines
-the more efficient the aircraft the better your MPG, much lower fuel cost
      Minus
-Insurance can be harder to find and be more expensive
This is very simplified, but I am just going to add this one last thing
You can do a homebuilt on a budget, but it will still not be cheap, but it kicks butt on a certified aircraft for bang for the buck

I love what you did with your Cozy mods. I am curious about your canopy if it's also 6" wider?

You talk about moving the seatback aft... Did you move it 1" aft initially as per the Nat approved mods?

Initially I had it in the plans position, after I got to the point of knowing I needed more room I then cut the bottom and sides of the seatback and moved the bottom back 2 inches on the pilots side only, which made for a much better seating position for me. move the seat back where you like and adjust your W&B numbers.

Put a jet engine in it

Why build a cozy if your not taking 3 or 4 passengers . Could have built a 2 seater. Also build vents above the rear seats into the engine for cooling. Many berkuts long ez and e racer have them built into the top side like a ram air sort of thing
