Excelente vídeo como siempre nos tienes acostumbrados. La luz sensacional y los protagonistas de lujo. Un bocadillo de buen jamón ibérico del que tenemos por España algo mejor que el de salchichas, o no. Un saludo
Whaooo, that was attentive. It is so that I have two places in the hide and in the morning I always put out two lenses so that I will not disturb the birds. The second lens is a 400mm f/2.8 and to this I have connected a laptop where I record the camera display through an HDMI cable and a video capture card. I simply move the camera over to that lens when I do my camera display recordings. This is because I have nowhere else to put the laptop. Unfortunately, I don't have an Atmos recorder that can sit on the camera. I was thinking of making a film about how cheaply I got away with recording on a laptop. Total under $20 but the downside is the space the laptop takes up.

I was wondering the same thing... @ 11:57, the video is shot at f/4. So, now I'm not sure what to believe about the performance of the lens. I've been debating the 180-600 or the 600/6.3pf. Unfortunately, while superb, I'm left just as confused as I was before.
A really great video. So good to get one that just lets the images and footage taken with a particular camera / lens combination speak for themselves rather than the presenter prattling on all about buttons, specifications (all of which are readily available from the manufacturers' info sheets) and test charts.
Hej, god dag! Jag är mycket glad att du delar med dig av dina upplevelser med oss i denna fantastiska kvalitet. Jag är överlycklig och har också ett stort intresse för detta fantastiska objektiv! Tack så mycket och vänliga hälsningar. Matthias👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
Thank you Göran for this video, good like always. Would like to see your video about sound and what microphone you use, thank you take care, Greetings Michael
Hi Goran, the video and photos are definitely sharp. I am glad you have gotten rid of the music and playing the sounds of nature. This just adds to the vlog and makes you feel like we are there with you amongst the birds. Hope to see the next one soon. See you out there!
Bravo. Truly beautiful images. I just received mine a few days ago. My first day, I found the lens front heavy and somewhat awkward when using it hand held for stills. Thanks to the VR I managed enough sharp images to know that the lens has a lot of potential. My keeper rate improved dramatically when i used a monopod. I can imagine using it from a hide will be quite nice.
Thank you so much and thank you for your kind comment 🙏🙏😀😀 Yes, I am completely satisfied with how quickly it focuses and the sharpness. It is a perfect travel lens. God luck with it. 👍👍
Nice work Goran, judging by the images you captured it looks like a very capable lens. I'm considering it myself at the moment. You have a fantastic, species rich location there!! Keep up the good work and seasons greetings 🎄📷👍🏼
Goran, the images are so sharp it is really quite amazing. I have the same lens attached to my Z8 and you give me hope that I will be able to create videos with an equal sharpness. Excellent work. Thank you.
Thank you for your AWESOME photography and videography with the new NIkkor Z 180-600! I use it on a Z8, only for still photography. I agree that it is a very sharp lens and I'm quite pleased with its performance. I just don't understand why Nikon does not make the tripod collar foot Arca-Swiss compatible! (I did find an Arca-Swiss Promaster QR plate, but why it doesn't come with one is beyond me.) Thanks again for your inspirational work!
Thanks Steve and I agree that is really sharp. Then I think it is very sharp and records fantastically well when filming. Almost even better than still images. Let's hope someone better ”fot” comes along for the lens. Have a Great Christmas. 🙏🙏😀😀
Whaoooo, that was observant. As I write in the description, the camera display is filmed when I have a 400 mm lens on. This is because where I shoot from I don't have room for my laptop to do the recording of the screen. I have to move the camera to the next place where I have room for my laptop and my 400 mm. It is not possible to change the lens on the fly because then all the birds will go away. Therefore, I put the 400 mm lens in place in the morning in “hole” number 2. There I record with HDMI cable and a video capture card in resolution 1920x180 with the laptop. Then I get to move the camera back again to 180-600mm as that is the lens I used both for filming and photography.
Fantastisk video og bilder du tar. En absolutt bonus er lyden. Har du en mikrofon ute?? Tusen tusen takk for at du deler dine videoer.
Excellent video Goran, I’ve just got the 180-600 but not really had the opportunity to use it properly yet! May I ask which remote you are using on the Z9! Cheers Andy
Hi Andy and thank you for your kind comment. I'm using Aputure TriggmasterPlus II 2,4G and it works 300m. Link: m.alza.sk/EN/aputure-trigmaster-ii-plus-2-4-ghz-d4493726.htm
hey, that was observant. You can read the reason for that in the description. All filming of the display was done with a 400 mm f/2.8 due to lack of space. I had to move the camera to where my laptop was and there was the 400mm lens.

I think you Will be satisfied with that lens. I also want it because its for sure sharper and have quicker autofokus. But for me that makes movie the 189-600 fits me better. Good luck.

At minute 9.38 the camera indicates f/2.8 ???
With the 180/600? 🤔
Congratulations for the images!!! ❤️
The title says 180-600mm but it seems to me this has been filmed with the 400mm f/2.8 instead. What about the photos?

Great video, but I believe the majority of this video utilized the 400mm f/2.8 lens.

What lens are you actually using? Your screen shows f/3.5 and even f/2.8 in some takes. The Nikon 180-600 does not have those f-stops.
hey, that was observant. You can read the reason for that in the description. All filming of the display was done with a 400 mm f/2.8 due to lack of space. I had to move the camera to where my laptop was and there was the 400mm lens.
@user-oe5jl2br6u Thank you so much. Now my brother and I have rebuilt so that I can fit my laptop. I understand the problem. 😀
Hi I see the F stop fluctuate between f2.8 and f4, were you using the 180-600mm for all the video? Bit confusing
