Not necessarily, dogs have different personalities, independent of breed. Some are just chill and laid back, like this one. Kalle Kanin. No need to insult others because they expressed their thoughts and you don't agree. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even you. Is it possible to disagree without insulting. I do not agree with Stan Blank, but on the other hand we need to respect each other.
Let me tell you something. An irresponsible dog owner is not just the one which lets their dogs roam unsupervised. I am sorry for the little girl and all her family, respects. But they were irresponsible too, dogs just don't snap. They should never had gotten the pits. Much like a human, they need to be socialized and educated. Of course there are some breeds which need less, specially small dogs. Big dogs of any breed can be dangerous. First rule of owning big dogs, never let them unsupervised with children or small dogs. Back in the days, the Doberman had a reputation of turning of their owners at middle age. This story is true, not the doberman fact, but the rumour itself. I never believed it, but always reckoned why they actually bite people. Now that I'm in my forties I kinda understand it this way, every work-dog breed needs to work, needs taks to perform, things to do. If you don't give that, he will respond in many possible different ways. One has to establish communication with the dog. Body language and even facial expression have to be understood by both parties. Tone of voice is key. Dogs have lots of personality, if not understood, bad things can happen. By the way who do you think is Alpha in Mr. Kaplan's pack? Peace

Size does not mean anything to me, being big in stature doe not mean you are tough, it just means you have to chop down more to get through to them, as an example, the Gurkhas of Nepal are small in stature but do they know how to fight and pack a punch, you bet they do, they don't need to walk about with a Pit Bull dog to show they are tough guys, surviving in the jungle with creatures that can rip your head of with one swipe or bite, that is what i call being tough.

It's not the dogs, it's usually the owners. It does not help that Pitbulls are bred for fighting but there is an 'image issue' associated with the breed. Unfortunately, a large number of Pitbull owners seem to be idiots with antisocial tendencies. Let's put it this way, I doubt they would be seen on the streets with a Poodle but the original Standard Poodle is a big, strong retriever, not a fighting dog.
MartinJG100, said to be at the top of intelligents too. Pits might not be the smartest, but they are still very intelligent. They might not be the fastest, but they are fast. And pound for pound, they are at the top for strength and power. Very loyal and protective. For many reasons they are the best breed, in my opinion. Yes, they are highly fierce and relentless, but when they are raised right, that relentless fierocity is channelled into love. That's why I love the "nanny dog" of the early 1900s.
On two occasions I accidentally caused the owners of pitbulls to punish their dogs for being so friendly to a stranger. It probably didn't help that I act really gay around adorable animals.
pitbulls are. not. bred. for. fighting. they were originally bred for hunting and home protection when people had to work and had no baby sitter for their children that stayed home. i hate when people say this. the only people who use them for fighting don't care that its a pit, they just want a muscular dog.
I would scream “PUPPY” but not loud enough to startle the dog, mainly like a loud whisper then walk up to the owners and ask if I can pet, if they say yes imma love the heck on that beautiful creature.

Umberto Diaz aww😔 when my lab left his "sister" he was sad for the first week then he somehow treated me more of his family than an owner and I really love him
it's not that simple, a-lot of information online is false as it's a new breed. i researched the american bully breed for months so i can say i have an idea of what i'm talking about. The American Bully breed is based of exaggeration of the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier. But, it is generally known that the American Bully contains significant blood from various Mastiff and Bulldog’s breeds. The initial vision was to create a more muscular Pit Bull with less drive and no animal aggression. The American Bully breed is a more relaxed and easygoing version of the American Pit Bull Terrier, dog aggression in the breed is not acceptable and it’s a fault. The breed appeared in the 1990’s and it was created with the purpose of being a family companion dog, it is a breed that fits more our current society. The breed was created from hundreds of breeders across the United States. A significant number of breeders worked to develop the American Bully - most without a clear standard or goal in mind, the American Bully became quite different in its appearance. However, standards created by the ABKC and UKC have had a positive effect on the continuity and appearance of the breed. True change will not happen until casual breeders do the right thing and focus on the breed standard as specified by the ABKC and UKC. More importantly, breeders must top breeding for colors, sizes and focus on health, temperament and trainability.
Martin Allen even though the jaws dont actually lock at all, they just dont wanna let go so kinda fits. But again any dog is dangerous if not handled and raised correctly. Goes for most animals. Yes each breed has a different amount of energy and strength plus their size but if you are gonna raise one it should be done properly. I dont see why people will let their little dogs be aggressive but these big dogs are a shoot on sight, yes they can deal more damage but aggression is aggression and should be corrected and changed.
It sucks that media and movies make it look like pitbulls are aggressive all the time. If you look it up, pitbulls are actually one of the most friendliest dog by them all meaning they are the easiest to train to become super cuddly dogs. If you treat them bad, as go for any other dog breeds, they will behave in a nasty way. Stop saying that "pitbulls are dangerous" because you like to listen to what media has to say.
Danyelle G I have and I own a few pits too, grown up with them. Look it up, search for 'pit bulls are just about the nicest dogs there are' and you will see a picture with a list where it explains that Pitbulls are on the second place, right after Labrador Retriever, of being super tolerant. Also, I've read enough, watched enough TV shows like the one with Caesar Millan who even talks about the misunderstanding and I got my own experience. Why go loose on me like that lol, I know what I'm talking about. Sorry if a bad owner raised a pitbull the wrong way to scare you, don't blame the puppy.
I’ve owned a few pits as well. They’re the sweetest dogs you’ll ever see. People are just ignorant and choose to believe what they want and unfortunately you just can’t do anything about it sometimes
M. Alexander yep, my grandparents owned about 10 pits and other large dogs at the same time before I was born, they all listened well and respected everyone, treated my mom (about 7 to 20 years old the time of the dogs being around) like royalty. Now my grandma has 2 shitzus and they honestly don't listen worth shit and one has a terrible attitude. Both big dogs I've owned (pitbull ridgeback mix and my current pitbull mix) listen/listened well and very lovable. Whenever I went to dog parades I always saw small dogs acting aggressive towards people or other dogs but big dogs acted so well and gained so much attention from people wanting to pet them. I suppose it has to do with most people spoiling and not properly disciplining their pocket sized rodents since they deem them as not so much of a threat compared to a big dog with the same circumstances.
My roommate has a pit bull/boxer mix called Nella. Nella is a big, black sweetheart, but people on the street and in public treat her like a monster. My roommate eventually started putting dresses and cute bows on Nell (who actually loves clothes) and it’s gotten a bit better. It’s so sad that people have such bad preconceptions about a very misunderstood breed
I love how sometimes when people stop petting him and leave he just tries to go with them as if saying "Noooo give me more patty patts".

Pepito Grillo Chihuahuas are just as aggressive. What do you mean you would regret not getting one? Lmao 😂😂
Yes, but a Chihuahua can not kill anyone.
Great video. Thing is these kind of breeds are owned by the wrong people. Most dogs reflect back their owners personality.
Cheers
João Briz wel spoken..

He's a handsome fellah. Wearing his collar with pride. Thank you for sharing this with us....I wish I was there, I would love to have a cuddle with the handsome Magnum.
It's sad how pitbulls are seen as scary, aggressive, and mean when really, they are one of the most family friendly dogs
and never attack children at all.... right? oh... ok... well... maybe... its not that friendly
bishplis it's all about how the dog gets raised by his or hers owners, any dog can bite someone if you don't raise them right
bishplis And no other dogs attack children right? Oh wait nevermind. Attacking children isn’t breed specific but you’re a fucking moron
bishplis of that one comment we all know how uneducated you are👊🏻
since most people are shit no wonder people are afraid of these dogs including me
Magnum is very handsome and he knows it!
He acts like a very good dog. Love that fawn color. He definitely likes the attention from all the folks that wanted to pet him.
Everyone just thinks they're so scary but they're actually big babies 💓💓

@@notwop9555 Lol no, did you know that a daschhound is a LOT more aggressive and prone to biting than a pitbull?
Barba Shrek difference is you can punt kick an daschhound and a pitbull will maul your leg if you try to do it on them they still have the highest killing rate
@@notwop9555 No because it depends on how the owner raised the dog. All breeds are so sweet and it's not in their instincts to bite as soon as they get born. An aggressive pitbull was raised to act like that. It's absolutely the owner's fault.
Small dogs get aggravated a lot more than big dogs. Big dogs are gentle giants. Have you seen chihuahuas, mate?
Great dog and shows normal pitt character: laidback and relaxed. He clearly likes the attention as well. Tnx for sharing.
So does his owners love attention, posers with no brains, great bread sad owners?
ecosselion their choice to show off their dogs, it's absolutely alright if the dog doesn't feel stressed which I don't see in any part of this video. It's also pretty good for responsible pitbull owners to do this to spread awareness of the breed's true nature
Yes, I would agree on one point, It's good for the dog to socialize with other people, but to walk about posing as they are doing using the dog as a statement that they are macho because they have 150lbs pit bull, and saying by doing so don't mess with us, just look at what we have got a 150lbs beast don't mess with us or else.
ecosselion I mean, the guy is like 6'10, anyone who sees him already knows don't mess with him.

That dog is a bully not a pitbull
50% owners 50% dog breed. Have you ever heard of a golden retriever attack?
pitbulls are. not. bred. for. fighting. they were originally bred for hunting and home protection when people had to work and had no baby sitter for their children that stayed home. i hate when people say this. the only people who use them for fighting don't care that its a pit, they just want a muscular dog.

That's because it's a Bully Type Dog and NOT a Pitbull. He's literally twice the size of a Pitbull (APBT).
Originated from a pitbull so yes it is a pitbull
pitbull yes, but thats not an american pitbull terrier. It probably is a XL american bully
Cristhiam Google what is a american bully then you'll know what you're talking about
it's not that simple, a-lot of information online is false as it's a new breed. i researched the american bully breed for months so i can say i have an idea of what i'm talking about.
More importantly, breeders must top breeding for colors, sizes and focus on health, temperament and trainability.
i’m getting a pitbull because they’re cuddle bugs but when murderers see them the murderers will fear being murdered.

Wasn't the Rottweiler the demon dog that everyone should fear back in the 90's?
This actually true, back in the 80's everyone had to own at least 2. I am a Cane Corso nut, thats one of mine in my picture, but still love the Rott.
Mateoski More so the Pitbull because of its lockjaw
Martin Allen even though the jaws dont actually lock at all, they just dont wanna let go so kinda fits. But again any dog is dangerous if not handled and raised correctly. Goes for most animals. Yes each breed has a different amount of energy and strength plus their size but if you are gonna raise one it should be done properly. I dont see why people will let their little dogs be aggressive but these big dogs are a shoot on sight, yes they can deal more damage but aggression is aggression and should be corrected and changed.
Martin Allen It amazes me that people still believe any of the "pitbull" breeds can lock their jaws.
Great response!

Stop saying that "pitbulls are dangerous" because you like to listen to what media has to say.
just stop your lack of education is fatal. don't waste your time here instead make an actual research hon.
Pits used to be "nanny dogs". Back in the day people trusted them with kids. Sad how it is now tho
Pitbulls are dangerous, all dogs are. Atleast potentially.
What a good boy.🤗 little dogs have often the worst behaviour.😂
Tyler2099 yes this is it. They spoil them too much and find it even cute when their small dogs act like that.
