It’s a great bag. I have 3 now. Very addictive. My medium is great for travel, small for bumming around and another medium also for spring travel. I was at the airport wearing my pink one I could see people looking at it I had 3 women come up to me and compliment it. The leather is gorgeous. I’ve at 2 of them for approximately a year and a half. No defects. One of my favs

I didn’t like the 22 bag when it was first launched, but when I was in Paris, I tried on the small size in a seasonal color and I fell in love! I picked it up as a souvenir during that trip and it’s a bag I wear quite often and it really fits my casual lifestyle. It’s so tempting for me to want to add another one in black, but as you said the price tag is stopping me. Of course if I was in my right state of mind initially, I would have passed on the one I impulsively purchased. But yes I love the bag, but not worth the price tag. Thanks for the review!

Yeah, originally when it was launched, I was thinking ‘trash bag’ but after seeing how relaxed it looks against the body, it looks to be the perfect casual bag for those who are Chanel collectors. I have yet to purchase this bag bc it’s too pricey for a plastic looking bag. Thanks for your honest review on the Chanel 22 bag.

Finally a guy’s perspective on the 22! I’ve been wanting a small one since the start of this year and I feel the same about the shiny calfskin. It made the bag look like a trash bag even more! Spot on with the script logo! They could have just stuck to a discreet CC logo but I don’t mind the medallion and just take out the logo on the leather. Now finally they released a shiny caviar version for 23k, whats putting me off is that the texture seems like its a deflated basketball! The tone on tone enamel logo lessened the “look at me I’m wearing Chanel” vibe but if you are to abuse the bag, the colored enamel will definitely not take a beating. Thanks for the unbiased review! I’m such a Chanel fanatic and every time I find an excuse to buy a bag from the house is when I find a design that was less feminine looking. I too am not crazy if the leather is too shiny either but lets face it. Chanel is and will always be a brand for women and they sure love everything thats shiny.
Hi! I have the exact same bag and I LOVE it!!!!! Practical, light, stylish, slouchy, not the usual rigid Chanel bag... By the way, it is in calfskin not lambskin.

I have both Chanel 22 Large + mini yellow rose colour. The bag has been through up and down with me for 2 years with the original 22. The quality of the black one is insanely good. I do not speak of other colour prints. But the black one is the best so far. I have abused the bag in so many situations. It has never failed me whatsoever. Again, I don't speak of any other colours; yes, I clean it well every 3 months. It's my favourite everyday bag, and it has so many good praises.
I have the small in caramel and the mini in black… honestly I love them both! They’re just easy to use.definitely going to get the medium

I considered purchasing this bag but decided against it for many of the same reasons you mentioned. While the Chanel 22 bag looks great on you, I find this particular leather finish too shiny almost patent like. I also find the logo and charm a bit too much for my taste. Perhaps a luxury bag at this price point should be more of a joy to wear rather than a challenge? Either way, thanks for sharing another great video.

I really like it and think it suits you.
I have been waiting for the back pack version as the original one simply doesn't suit me and the charm is a huge turn off if you ask me. Regarding the leather, my friend got her Chanel 22 from the first lot produced in 2022 and I have to say that the leather felt very soft and buttery, which is very different from those Chanel 22 bag in the store these days.

The Gabrielle bag is much better than this mess in my opinion I with they'd bring it back in a bit of a minimal twist less chains etc.

@@IamGPS I don't have one, but this trashbag is NOT a substitution for it as many say. I think it is a whole different look. Gabrielle is a bag my Grandma would carry for all her meds and dog treats. SO 80's.

Hi GPS, thanks for the review. Tbh, I personally prefer the Jodie small and any other bigger size. The chain will drive me nuts; especially if there are small fabric issues around the chain, which we all know is Chanel’s forté these days.

Weird for me..... Never looked at it even though it was on display in the window at the store that I pass by frequently. Never had any interest .... I looked at other bags but not this! Pretty unusual for me.

I love my 22 and I call it my garbage bag. I throw everything in there and it’s like my never full but I would not repurchase the 22 .

GPS, you are a paragon of great taste! However, the 22 bag is awful, just AWFUL. It looks like laminated plastic, and the big Chanel name logo and charm is just too much. It would have been nice with softer, more matte leather and the charm or maybe a subtle embossed CC logo on one side only. I was once a real devotee, but I have sold all except one, small navy Coco shoulder strap bag. What has happened to Chanel? The Wertheimers need to clean house and rethink the brand.

I don't dislike the 22 as much as I did. I need crossbody/top handle bags so it won't work for me. Crazy price, questionable quality.
