Great video! But I'm trying to find out how to Export the online version of SketchUp files without having to upgrade to payments when I don't use the program nearly enough to pay for it. I just need to export ONE background as an FBX or OBJ file from the free Online SketchUp version, to import into a Storyboard Pro program. Can you please help with that?
Doesn't work, when it finishes "converting" the file (.max to .fbs) after taking a lot of time (for a +700kb .max file), you get an useless 4kb file or it just will throw you and unspecified error. A real waste of time
Hi, i have this to ask, how to convert multiple OBJ files with their textures to a FBX file with it's textures? is there a software that does that automatically? i have plenty of models with .obj format that have separate .obj parts, but am tired of keep importing in blender one by one.
AnyConv is unreliable for converting files. The majority of .max files I've tried converting fail with simply "Error" (no explanation). It also has a maximum file size limitation which is smaller than files I want to convert, so you're stopped dead right there even if the converter DID work.
The free web version of Sketchup doesn't allow importing of any 3D file types, so you have to pay for Sketchup, which means your conversion isn't free.
I have tried both Spin 3D and Any Conv to first a .ma file to obj and to fbx. Spin 3D finished by a message File can't Be Converted. Any Conv resulted with an Error. In conclusion, neither options worked.
@@Ravenors.academy i am also an interior designer Also a 3dvisualizer in sketchup, blender and also in another some softwares. however i noticed your object scaling methord is little wired, means little different from my style. may be you also know about this the reference scaling with the "measuring Tap" tool .because that is the best methord for scaling the furnitures with our standard dimensions. :) hope you get my words... ✌ Happy Designing🤍
Yes I'm aware of scaling with the Tape Measure tool :) I'm just used to quick math kinda scaling, eg: if it's modeled in meters, I just scale it down to 0.1 and the rest I just wing it because most pieces these days don't really adhere to standard measurements as they used to 🤷🏻♀️ Thank you for sharing that tho! maybe it'll benefit someone 😍
@Mau535 I couldn't reply to your second comment for some reason, but that turned out well, then! I think I'll make an updated version of this video soon 🤔
So uh, I tried to convert a blend file to fbx, but it said that the file was corrupted and couldn’t be converted,l even tough I just downloaded the file, anybody knows how to somehow fix this?
Back in the days there was some program called Arcon Design and i still have some old files / projects what i like to convert to FBX. Does anyone have a solution for this ? Cant import into Max *--* and dont want to buy the program :D

Helpful video! Thank you. And loved the plane flying through the video when it flew over your home. 😅
Thank you so much! They now offer a mac compatible version for the Spin 3D Mesh Converter. This is going to be a life save for me!
You're very welcome :) I'm glad they offer a mac version now, it's a very handy tool!

De nada :) dejame saber que opcion funciono bien para ti
Is there a way I can combine an obj and mtl to make a new file format which combines them?
Have you given Transmutr a try?
I hope there's one that can get the mapping coordinates and the map itself
There are apps/extensions like that, but they're paid not for free 🤷🏻♀️
Thanks for you help !!!
This software now have a limit of conversion, works fine (the most of the times), but without previous notice cut me off
