They patched it so you can't chain configs even outside of steam. Superglide cfgs usually use 2-3 separate but chained configs. No more movement cheaters!!
keyboard macro: let me introduce myself
This only stopped controller, it left macros in. Keyboard macros don’t use auto.exe so you can still cause them. This caused more imbalance in the game and it totally bullshit.
I agree the cfg auto exec is cheating. Jitter aim is cheating etc
All this did was take people who used steam inputs to cheat and made them look for software or ai cheats. I know a few guys still going strong.

I’m a controller player I use no configs or aim assist and am so happy to poop on even easier teams know that controller cheaters are out of this

As a controller player who used cfgs to strafe I actually dont care that its gone tbh it wasn’t anything crazy and majority of my time i forget i even have it now that its gone i still play and win my matches like normal i only didnt like the auto aim ppl could do so hopefully they can ban those type of people but if anything to even the playing field shouldnt mnk players not be allowed to map their scroll wheel to jumping to strafe as well?and for those mnk players who complain about AA i promise you its not as strong as ppl think it may look like it but you still need skill to actually aim on sticks all AA does is jus slow you down once you aim on sum1 not a “autolock aimbot” ppl claim and i rlly only used strafing to flex on my own friends wenever i gone against them but i still practice on mnk otherwise i love the vids man🙏🏾
TLDR; im glad cfgs are gone majority should be gone as well for both sides to even things out and if you complain about AA you just need to get better tbh and mnk still has more advantages compared to roller but i still enjoy both but i can say mnk is superior tbh

Cfgs are still available on MNK. And steam inputs on controller. You can’t chain them using auto.exe files. You can chain them with raw button inputs, so a keyboard can still chain cfg files, no problem. Also this didn’t address people who tether a second computer and use it to run cheats, it also doesn’t stop ai or app based cheats at all. I had a guy flying in my first lobby back.
For anyone wondering, they didn't disable Steam Inputs. From what I can tell, only the tap-strafing element has been removed. I play with a steam input that basically enabled tap-strafing by holding down the left analog button, then had a couple other button remaps (R1+L1 simulating pressing 3 on a keyboard, for instant holster which isn't possible with Controller since you'd need to hold the Triangle/Y button) and (L2+Right Analog Button mapped to LCTRL, my Sprint keybind, so that I can still zoom down sights since my L3 button controlled the tap-strafe trigger). I just jumped into the firing range expecting all of the mappings to be disabled, but was surprised to find that only the tap-strafe wasn't working, but each other bind was.... I'm not sure if this is oversight on Respawn's part, or intentional due to Tap-Strafing being the reason things like Neo-strafes, Lurch strafes, etc. can exist. It's interesting and i'd expected the whole thing to be disabled, instead of JUST the tap-strafes. It seems like Auto Aim and 100% superglide configs may possibly have not been affected, which definitely worries me. I'm a believer that if Tap-Strafing continues to be a part of the game, then all inputs should have access to it, not just a singular input. I regularly play both MnK and Controller (i'm an old Console gamer, so I started my original account on PS4, but made the switch to PC, still trying to get better on MnK). The Aim assist needs tweaked so that it scales better with the POV settings and sensitivities because at low sens, the AA is WAAAYYYY too strong. I'm definitely on the side of "macro-type configs are bad", but accessibility ones that allow all inputs to be similar/equal are good.
TL;DR: Tap-Strafe either needs removed entirely, or both inputs need an in-game way of accessing it. Respawn could save all this coding trouble by not allowing the scroll wheel to be bound to the movement/jump keys..... just saying.
They nerfed lurching by .5 sec if the game detects a controller making lurch stacking impossible and they said they removed auto exec of cfg files but I’ve heard mixed reports of that

Segregate them and let them enjoy their 10 minutes queue between matches and all the worst cheats. I want to hear them cry lol
