I'm sitting here watching all these nice new sleds and I'm stuck with a 97 panther
timberjack460 - Whatever gets you out there though. I just bought my first new sled in 15 years. I hear ya.
Nice! I have an 81 Blizzard 5500mx with so called " Long Travel" suspension, lol.
Don't feel bad, I had a 07 polaris trail touring 550. I lite it on fire. 😂
Still driving my $1500 04 Polaris 600xcsp I bought in 2015 😁👍
I'm with ya buddy. Riding a 95 ZRT 800, but I love it.
Nice sled, great motor. Now make a 900 triple CTEC 2!
Watching this n 2019. I can’t help but wonder from this review how much they love the sled, how it didn’t get sled of the year?! And I am not an Arctic cat guy, n fact I have never own a cat. Ski doo and Yamaha back in 02 srx. Regardless I love all sleds, just wish they’d do POV reviews showing power, handling, features etc. a down to earth talk while your ridding POV would be fantastic!!! Ride safe this year everyone!!
Recently rode a 2019 ZR8000 and I completely agree with Snowtrax. Incredible handling, suspension, and the 800 C-tec is a Ripper !!
Just bought a new 2018 El Tigre, 800, no snow can't drive yet but you were impressed with the new e tec?
Awesome sled
Besides an all around snowmobile it's built in the United State unlike Ski Doo
Is that Bert from the big bang theory?
I have a 99 Polaris xc700 and I'm looking at buying a new or lightly used sled I like the new Indy. I want something powerful but reliable what do you guys recommend
Okay- I’m moving from a ‘15 ZR9000. Im looking at this exact model vs Polaris 800 switchback Pro s within the next month. I’m about 85% trail vs 15% off. What’s your personal take?
I’ve got the switchback 800 pro s. And the 2018 cross country 800 both are very impressive trail sleds with good not great off trail /powder play capabilities. That being said the pro s gearing to me is more trail friendly. The artic cat to me is 10x better in the looks department. Both motors pull almost as equally good.
Dt Hotmix went with the Polaris Switchback Pro S!!! I’m in love!
Awesome! You’ll be very happy wait till it gets over that break in period and you get the full power they’re amazing machines!
allwheeler You'll probobly want to go with the Polaris, yes it's not as high tech and is missing a couple little tid bits that the new cat will have, but you'll probobly save at least a $1000 going with the Polaris.
Studded track??

Nice!
Is it actually an 8000
great job thanks for posting I just don't think I could get past the butt ugly apocaliptico Gray
Zee R ? You mean Zed R ! You're Canadian! I'm kidding, i'm kidding, i know this show is on in the U.S. Personally i think Zed sounds weird but man i hate when Americans pronounce Foyer " Foyerrrr" it's Foyay dammit, lol.
Are you talking about a building used by public? Or some brand name? I can't say I have ever actually heard an American use that word. Seen it in books and such, but never heard it said out loud in any normal conversation. And I been an American my entire life.
I only ask about it possibly being a brand name because otherwise I can't see how this word would ever come up often enough to annoy anyone.
1Kurgan1 sorry dude, i'm a contractor so i watch tons of real estate shows...most U.S. just hate hearing the agent say " it has a spacious foyer" nothing personal at all. My family live in Atlanta....just one of those pet peeves. So used to hearing it pronounced " Foy- ay".
Didn't mean to sound upset. I was just curious. That makes sense though.
1Kurgan1 no no no...no worries at all. Like i said in my OP i hate the use of Zed as Zee in Canada. Sounds weird to me ......Yo, i just bought an Iroc Zed 28 Camaro man.... See what i mean? Lol. Or " My favourite car is the Nissan 300 Zed X" .... Just sounds better pronounced " zee" .
Quentin 33
I personally think the zed sounds meaner (as a Canadian) zed 28 or zed 71 sounds tougher a posed to zee.
Affordable he says lol it’s $14000
I hear you but unfortunately in todays times that is affordable.
14k they better supply all inspection docs prior to sale.........
xanadujohn79 I take it you haven't bought a new sled recently? This is a normal transaction price these days, hell the cream of the crop sleds are near 20k.
William Stewart ouch thats like buying a car
Dino Aungpe Yeah it's gotten a little silly now that's for sure.

Keep up the good work
xf800 faster then zr8000rr 2019 sno pro cross country race lake

Did you say artic wtf is that

I have zero confidence in ARCTIC CAT. The 1998 ZR 600 LE; The snowmobile of the year... was train wreck. Less than 250 mi of drive time.....AC recall motor defect, 1000mi stator defect, fuel pump connector defect????? POS........What changes have AC made in their manufacturing QC process to eliminate these problems.
Since '98?
LOL!
Dude... do you even own a calendar?
Well.... I bought a brand new 98 zr 600 in 99. I put 6600 km on it and rode it hard. Was a rock solid sled and never had anything major go wrong with it. Kill switch would disrupt the ignition.... quick by pass fixed that. So I think you might be full of CHIT!!
They had a few lemons that year. Sorry you got the short straw. My '97 ZR580 was flawless even though they had stator and fuel pump issues..
Arctic Cat junk! Bad machines all the way around! Maybe good on a trail but put them in the mountains and they show their true colors. I wouldn't ride a Cat in the mountains if you gave it to me for free. If you want a mountain machine buy a Polaris. They know how to build a sled!
Hose A skidoo makes some good sleds too but in the end it all comes down to what your doing and personal preference
Good one
You truly are a fool. Nuf said.
Didn't polaris just spend a bunch of money replacing motors.so they all have there problems.
