Hatchet is the easiest thing to counter in this game, simply hold RMB until there berserk runs out. Then stagger them because they don't know how to dodge or block, then combo them out. Easy.

Have you tried it out yet and opted syncretic instead? I was thinking about going powder burn, trap and sticky bomb. Sticky is a bit tricky to use at times, but great for tossing on someone at close range or on a point.

I use the mechanic and IG with spikes on it. Once they're rooted, it's non stop roots and ice spikes. 350 int. 100 con, rest dex. Ppl don't chase me after I combo them lmao

I wish the weapon swap worked as smoothly for all weapons as it does for your musket rapier. My ice gauntlet / void gauntlet has consistent delays to the point where half my skills goes off from my perilous weapon or there is significant cast delay for the now current weapon after switch
do u play on pc? if so its ur keybinds, get rid of weapon 1 and 2 then set a keybind for swap weapon, makes weapon swapping much smoother, by default its unbound

Yeah void gauntlet feels really weird from what ive noticed. You need to immediately use a skill as you swap for it to go through. It feels kinda like there's a 0,5 sec window to do an ability after swapping and afterwards a 1 second window where you can't use any abilities all. Definitely doesn't feel intended

I know it's impossible to tell what the issue is from this comment but what are the more important parts for damage in the build? I genuinely can't figure the problem out
That's why you can clearly see when someone is using a YT build. They think that because they watch videos and copy builds, they'll be good. Its so easy to counter traps and other roots by using berserk, but they just pop berserk randomly. As for hatchet... as someone who plays Hatchet BB since BB's release... i stopped using it because its too much cheese. And those that use it because of that will see their "skill" drastically drop when its eventually nerfed

Rapier is a very timing dependent weapon, and success with it comes largely from predicting / out speeding opponents. Musket is also arguably the hardest ranged weapon to aim with since it has the smallest hit box by a large margin and some bloom. So in short, this is a hard playstyle to learn vs something like a bruiser. I actually recommend trying out the other weapons if you haven't, especially the ones you feel like you struggle against. This will teach you what to look for when you fight against them with your rapier, and predict what they will do. This build is really good but it definitely takes some practice to get the hang of!
Hatchet isn't even hard to counter its just a good counter against all the intelligence spam in pvp. I'm using SnS and blunderbuss and having a great time

Traps you can have 2 and have 15 sec cooldown, berzerk has pretty much 30 second cooldown to use to release from root. Js not useless at all, especially against brain dead hatchet players
You should go to cutlass key and get destroyed by real hatcher player and blunderbuss. Stop building useless thing and be like it's decent you don't help the game. As a content creator cry for AGS to balance this ridiculous game

Running the vines hearhrune + the traps and it works so much better than the stone form against hatchet players.
Healing on heart rune and healing breeze works with stonefrom now though

Tumblers proc it as far as I know.
It procs with heals from weapons, like the rapier flurry. I use it on one of my rapier builds. Heals are insane.

@tonykeally1039 hatchet berserk has something like a 6s uninterruptable phase, not sure if roots apply, and doesn't defy death break roots too?
