I've been using the NYX glitter primer for YEARS and love it. I've never had an issue with my glittery/sparkly/shimmery shadows lasting on my lids all day long. When I go to remove my eye makeup at the end of of day, my matte crease shadows are a lot more worn off than my shimmer shadows on the lids.

I bought the Pixie Epoxy a few weeks ago after seeing you use it so much and I'm SO HAPPY I DID!!!! It's really nice and easy to use, and I'm glad to have an excellent smooth formula glue, since as you mentioned, Nyx is better for chunkies.
This comment made me so happy I also FINALLY pulled the trigger and ordered some. Shipping was cheap too but I'm really excited to try it w/ PMG. I do enjoy the wand for the inner corner. To me it's worth it bc of the convenience factor but it seems the Pixie Epoxy is just as easy to use?

Hi MILLY, I have something similar from Urban Decay. It’s called The Ultimate Ozone Multipurpose primer stick. This sounds similar to that Pat McGrath artistry stick. The UD stick is ok I guess. One of its many uses is to erase any mistakes you made with your eye makeup. I have hooded oily eyelids so I have tried mainstream primers/glue to Indie brands. I also bought the new JD Glow glitter glue recently. I am still testing it out. They dropped the glue with their line of multichromes flakes. My ride or die is Danessa Myricks clear eyeshadow primer. Perfect for hooded,oily eyelids and this one is also waterproof. Your eyeshadow is not going anywhere,. I love your comparison in this video 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
From googling it seems the UD stick is for eyeshadow priming, for mattes not specifically for shimmers? There’s so many products brands have that I feel like no one ever talks about 😯

The pixie epoxy works great for me with flaker shades and multichromes only thing nyx works better for me is then pixie epoxy is actual pressed glitter
I like the pat McGrath primer as it doesn't make my shadows crease, which I sometimes get with nyx glitter glue .

Is there a trick to keeping Adept eyeshadows on? I have tried Nyx glitter glue and it just bunched up in my crease. I believe I used very little and tapped it out. What am I doing wrong because those eyeshadows are so pretty but they don't last 2 hours on my eyes☹️

This was very informative. The water application shocked me but definitely did look a bit less intense than the nyx. The only this that would’ve made this better is all the eyes with different products were laid side by side in the screen.

Also I have oily lids so, I’m gonna have to try that eye primer. I use abh and it works pretty well, I prefer one with some pigment but I have had creasing with it on occasion. Have you tried the Milani?
I haven’t but it seems like it’s similar to the Smashbox one. The thing is with the Smashbox primer, some mattes don’t work well on it and it doesn’t cover my veiny lids
@@badtothebrow yeah I prefer a light toned pigmented eyeshadow primer, the clear ones just don’t do it for me. It’s why I haven’t tried the milani. I tried the viseart one and that was a mess on my oily and hooded lids. I’m just looking for something that isn’t that expensive and waterproof that will give coverage as well as accentuate my colors. There’s one on Amazon I’m thinking of trying. It comes in all different colors and it’s waterproof. It looks like a plouise knock off except is waterproof and very affordable. 3 tubes for 11.00
I want the pixie epoxy, but I’m worried it will make my eyes burn. Most creme/pencil eyeshadow wands do that to me. Have you had any reactions to it like that?
No I have never had any reaction to it. They have the ingredients listed on the website if you want to check them
I have Mehron mixing medium. I’m good with that because this like a more expensive version.
I have very oily lids and use Cover Girl Lid Lock set with powder and then Too Faced Glitter Glue right before applying any shimmer/glitter.
My shadow has creased with any other primer, cheap or expensive. I love Too Faced Glitter Glue. The NYX irritates my eyes with too much alcohol. I have bought pyxie epoxy but haven’t used it yet.
I tried pyxie epoxy, tiny amount on lid and inner corner, and let it before applying shimmer and letting it dry using all your tips. Great stuff. Will last forever. Lot cheaper than Too Faced Glitter Glue. I need it for all shimmers with my oily hooded eyes. I have a few multichromes, though I am not as adventurous as you are but have learned a lot from you. Thanks!!!

I like the nyx primer ok. It makes my indy shadows look crapey on my older eyes. Some do not look good at all. I am going to try the pixie epoxy hoping for better results.
I think it might be the eyeshadows, some flaky/chunky eyeshadows accentuate lid texture

Milly I’m SO CONFUSED about the Pixie Epoxy. Fyrinnae’s site calls it a glitter glue to minimize fallout, and says not to use it with shadows that don’t sparkle, like mattes and shimmers.
So when you say at 2:19 that it’s not a glitter glue per se, it is though! It’s a glitter glue and not recommended for formulas with fine particles WITHOUT sparkle. Right? I mean, am I right? Later you reinforce it by saying it’s for fine shimmer formulas or metallics… and I think you got mixed up girl!
I love you, your content, and your looks and you’ve taught me sooo much about multichromes, so please please please don’t be mad at me for trying to set the explanation straight.
It’s not like the NYX glitter glue, the consistency is different. Pixie epoxy is better for finely milled shimmers vs flakier chunkier formulas whic NYX is better for

I don't know how anyone can justify the cost of Pat McGrath palettes... especially since there are SOOO many unique, sparkly, multichrome indie shadows that are much nicer than the "special" shadows in Pat's palettes.
