Probably the best "musical intro" of any UA-cam video ever.
Thank you very much!! Thats very kind of you to say!!
@@TSFAHTPS well….or it could be that all the shredder and blues dorks have set the bar pretty low💩.
Great video ! Thanks.Just received my XTone Pro.Can’t wait to use on Quantiloop,Bias FX 2,On Song,Ge Labs and Midi guitar.Looking forward to more of your videos. Thanks again.
Wondering how your getting on with the Xtone Pro. I ordered one a couple days ago and basically want to use it similar to how you're using it. e.g. Midi Guitar, looper app, On Song, Amp Sim app. Have you had success mapping everything up together? Thanks!
I am curious about the noise floor of the instrument input on the XTone Pro. Any noise so far? And if so gain to what level before noise? Much room to adjust before noise?
@@AloysiusChowBass Unfortunately there is no gain adjustment on the instrument input. Only the xlr input has a gain control. That’s one of the downsides of this unit. I don’t find it to be noisy though. A bit of a problem if your guitar pickups are too hot.
@@philh0954 Thank you so much on your reply. I guess this still cant fulfill what a dedicated audio interface is meant for. But it really does pack alot in this unit.
By far you did a better job than anybody else on UA-cam explaining IN USE how this works. Bravo! I have issues with some interapp extensions like Flux and Magleverb. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't but overall I'm very impressed with AUM and the XTone. Cheers!
Very helpful video. I anxiously await my Xtone.
Thank you Phil
This is the first video I've seen showing the XTone being used with AUM, good stuff! You can roll your own Bias FX or HX Stomp.
Great video man, learned a lot and loved the track you came up with. You don’t seem to have done any more videos with the pedal or AUM, any particular reason?
Thank you very much!! It’s just been a time issue…I’d love to try and do more
This think is epic. I thought that that irig and amplitude was epic, this thing is totally next level.
Thank Robert...yeah its a new world for me...its pretty amazing what you can do with it all...and at least half of the apps I used were free too
That was neat!
Thank you very much
Revisiting your video, I am still thinking about this pedal. Are you still using it? Or should I move on to maybe an alternative? Thanx
Man iOS music is a rabbit hole, enjoy mate
Hehe...yep...it sure is!! There's some great stuff available...been really enjoying playing with it all
great track! btw I'm a noob in the iOS/iPad thingy... Since it has only one lightning port how do you connected the pedal and the keystep at the same time? Maybe a dongle I suppose, but don't know... I've taken the route of buying pedals instead of fiddling with midi/apps/ and all the preparation that this needs, I found myself more confortable with a series of pedal on my desk, set them and explore. I found that playing with physical knobs is more satisfying. Sure I also use vst plugins and Klevgrand is one of my favourite vst maker out there. And I admit that this whole iOS thing is tempting because of the endless possibilities.
Thank you f/0 ....I'm only very new to this stuff too. I probably prefer pedals too but the stuff you can do with this is pretty amazing!
For me it’s really about the form factor of this setup. I’ll never replace my pedals and Amps for home shows and especially the studio. But I startet experimenting with a lot of iPad music apps and love the idea to spend hundreds less on a flight because I can just keep iPad and interface in my carryon when I travel to play a show abroad... but let’s see if this can really be a long term solution...
Haha....loved the intro! Incidentally, when are you guys going to do some guitar with modular synths? Soon, hopefully.
Thanks Walter...the modular synth thing will happen...soon...just need to talk myself into jumping into that rabbit hole!!
@@TSFAHTPS Don't blame you - god, is this thing expensive (yet fun)! All the best!
Hi ,is it fare to compare the sound quality ( preamp ) with focusrite 2i2 ?
Oohhh, mad scientist time, I like. I play with myself all the time, wait that sounded pervy. So, the the only problem is the IOS support only lasts a certain amount of years. The money sunk into this stuff has a finite use. I don’t know what I’m sayin. I guess this, future proofing, how can we keep all this stuff going long as possible? At some point lock it down and not update...
Anyway, I ramble,
Enjoyed your video, take a deep breath, well done sir, Houston out,
Peace and Music
Yeah...one of the reasons I rarely update the IOS on my phone or iPad - but then all those apps cost me maybe $80 all up...not a huge amount of money
