I watched several videos but this is only one that matches up to mine. My door, out of the blue, just sprung loose and shut. It was a terrific boom. Glad we weren't under it. We were around corner about 50 ft away. We had no clue what caused it. This video helped me to tighten the spring back. After watching this video again after fixing the door I can see there is a spring on the gear that allows it to rotate to the next notch. I had to pull down and engage the gear keeper each time. I seen the spring at the time so it has broken. I tried the door a few times. It is not quite where it needs to be but I can at least open it up. I will do more adjustments soon. Thanks for simple video that saved me a pile of $$. The service company wanted $253 to come out.
If the pull chain is slipping, does that mean the door needs adjusted? If so, should the tension be increased or decreased? Thank you for your help! :)
My roll up door shakes side to side when I pull it down, but not pushing it up. It shakes a 1/4 of the way down and pulls pretty smooth the rest of the way down. From the inside, if I put pressure on the door to the right side then it will pull down smoother when performing both maneuvers. The tracks seem to be fairly tight? Any suggestions?
Jose Mendez go inside and let the door down. Take two pipe wrenches and grip the shaft and let one wrench rest on the door curtain, holding the tension, then take the 1/4” screws out of the curtain. Take the other pipe wrench and add more tension using one wrench to pull with and the other to hold tension.

Your key way may have come out. Or the teeth of the sprocket are worn down. If the door is heavy while u are trying to open it. It may need tension.
My door will not stay up or open. Does this mean I need to adjust for more tension?

Very good job on the video my door seems to be a little crooked from left to right any ideas
