Hi,
I’m a carpenter from Australia whose had this gun for a few years. I highly recommend to minimise jams, use the Paslode Oil first thing in the morning before use. I find it pretty much removes most jamming problems that Australian Carpenters have had with these guns. They also made a free upgrade to the guns about 3 months ago to fix most of the jamming issues so I’m guessing the US release might have gotten the pre upgraded guns. other than that they are a terrific nailer.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll continue to monitor it. We've only experienced one jam so far in 3k shots.
@@Motivation_One88 Your Gun may be due for the new upgrade kit that’s available. Just take it to anyone that repairs Paslode and they should fix it for free 😊. Also just make sure to not use it for bump firing as it’s not really made for it. It’s more of a cladding and bracing gun.
@@yiannimamouzelos5391Paslode USA will release a bump fire mode framer soon. Paslode Australia tested the bump fire framer a few years back but didn’t see if was necessary in how we put things together in Oz. So Paslode has the technology. Time will tell.
Great review, I will be getting one of these to install some James hardi lap siding on a 12x20 garage I am building.
@@miillersconstruction I think so to I have the cordless Paslode framing and angle 16 Guage finish
Do you need the paslode colatted nails or can you run any coil in
@@alexsela7507 I have only tested it with Paslode nails. They are 0 degree plastic collation
This gun uses the same fuel cell at the joist hanger nailer which is not sold separately at least in the U.S like the orange framing fuel or the yellow trim fuel. So you have to buy the paslode nails because you have no other way to get the fuel cell. Complete dick move on the part of Paslode.
Ill wait for another company to make one that is just battery not that stinking gas cartridges!!
@@Jay_Jay1224 you'll probably be waiting quite a while then. Also I hope you can appreciate an extra 2-3 pounds of weight.
@miillersconstruction I'm fine with that I will never use paslode my Milwaukee framing gun is 100 times better!!
junkwaukee nailers are trash anyway what an overrated platform for carpenters. trash batteries, trash saws and trash nailers. hitachi and paslode end of story. even dewalt framers are lighter and the new version is way more long lasting.
Mate good review. Being using these since they came out. Great for Hardies cladding, soffits, metal anchors, blueboard sheeting, keep the oil up to the feeder pump on your big days. Gas cartridge is available in Australia in single bottles at the hardware stores so need to buy a whole box of nails.
Paslode reps here have also informed me that a new trigger may enter the market as to use the gun sideways and make it easier to squeeze the new trigger. You may get drive pin jams but that’s because the plastic gets caught on the feeder pin or nails have entered the slot on an angle. You’ll be getting the straight bradder soon as well so save your money. It will 14/16 g.
