- The Rollettes just spent an incredible week in Orlando competing at the ICU World Championships as part of the USA National Team. It was such a new feeling for the team from the venues we usually perform in but we wanted to take this opportunity to show the world what we can do as wheelchair dancers. We learned a lot. I’ve been an athlete my whole life and have always dreamed of representing the United States. When that entire arena chanted U-S-A before and after our performance it gave me chills because it was our honor to represent every wheelchair user and our country. We stood along side the other members of the USA National Team with pride and excitement. The Rollettes is a sisterhood that came together this week to compete and I can honestly say we hit every mark, slayed every move and I’ve never been more proud of this team and what we stand for. We competed on Thursday and I can honestly say we gave the best performance we ever have. We showed them who the Rollettes were through and through. That moment was for ALL of us. The judges gave us incredible feedback and believe me, the east coast was not ready for what this west side team brought. We are so excited that this sport is finally being recognized and that our friends in England repped Para Hip Hop too. Way to go England! You helped spread our message that dance is dance whether you’re walking or rolling. To all of our sponsors, donors, family and friends- your calls, flowers, love and relentless support means the world to us and we could not have done this without you. ICU 2019 better watch out because if you think we slayed this year, you just watched the warm up. ☝🏻 😉

our coaches usually have a lift to the first two seats and you canstay in the chair-but if you travel with more theres no way it's allowed due to health and safety as you couldn't get off in an emergency from any aisle seat-say theres a fire. so i guess i see why the rules are there. congratulations though!
america looks so accessable though-in towns so flat no huge kerbs or such-england is mostly horrendous. no way you can get by in a manual chair you'd tip in the road from the tilted pavements for one. when i visit my nan in a city in germany it's brilliant for me -so flat and easy. how life is different for a wc user depending on where they live .

lol those backpacks look so great-but you can NEVER do that travelling here-ALL your wallets would be missing at the end-and phones...i'd love to wear a backpack on the back-sooo much easier to carry and roll-i've tried researching lockable backpacks but theres very little i can find-do u have lockable ones?
