I was blown away just like Jaby when I saw this. Its so cool to see a pitch meeting for RRR. I honestly thought Bahubali 2 was a one time thing. It put Telugu movies on India's top list. The man this time put telugu cinema through RRR in World's top list. This goal is beyond dreams.

The reason why I like RRR more than KGF2 is because the story is gripping, and the lead characters struggle so much to achieve their goal. RRR has many flaws yes, but the watching experience of the movie may make you forgive some mistakes here and there. KGF2 was pretty monotonous in my opinion. I really liked KGF1, but KGF2 not so much
Agree. KGF works on star power, though there are other things like BGM, color palette etc. But the editing style is very off putting, though some would prefer KGF over RRR, and it made more money too. But KGF will never work with global audience.
Well, if we're talking about RRR vs KGF, a good metric of comparison would be to show both movies to someone with no knowledge of Indian cinema and let them decide which they like. I guess that's what happened and west world picked RRR. I agree with Achara. Few movies run based on Fandom.. that goes with any movie industry in the world. most collections Mission Impossible had from India is just from Tom Cruise's fans
RRR has always been a better movie than KGF2 and its a fact. KGF 2 is very enjoyable but it doesn’t bring much to the table to stand out among non indians/foreiners.

About fighting with tiger it's a real thing in India 1700 there was guy called by name "Baghajatin" it means winner against tiger "Bagha" means "tiger" speaking language of Odisha and west Bengal State of India . Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.........wow. I genuinely enjoyed your reaction video to the Pitch Meeting. Good comments and your own production values just top notch. That said I did have one quibble. I was a bit surprised at the amount of criticism you actually directed at Ryan's PM. He did a hilarious 6 1/2min pitch on a 3hour plus epic and not only did his usual hilarious take but covered the basic back story pretty well. I feel like critiquing what Ryan covered as if it was a movie review in the Times wasn't really a fair way to approach one of the most prolific, creative guys on the internet. RRR delivered in a way probably beyond what Hollywood can do at this point and Pitch Meeting delivered in exactly the expected way he always does.
Hii I am from Gujarat India. We have lot's of real incidents in which male and female both fought with lion and tigers to save their kids, cows and goats near our forest areas. So it doesn't that much surprise me to watch wild animals vs humans.
Every time I see these kinds of videos being made on RRR, I feel so happy....I just imagine Rajamouli and Ram Charan and Jr. NTR watching these videos and chuckling and feeling proud....but then I remember that they are working and don't have ample free time like me😅😅
KGF 2 was a sequel and therefore had more interest in Hindi audience, just like Bahubali 2 had. Both the orignals KGF and Bahubali did not do anywhere near as well as RRR.

I guess most people haven't noticed the lighting during the climax where Bheem applies leaves to Ram's wounds. It was dark, probably night. By the time Bheem was drinking water, the lighting is a bit more brighter and you can see tone is of a lighter shade of blue, like dawn. So its not like he got cured within seconds. Another point to be considered is that it is believed that the real Alluri Sita Ramaraju had the capability to sustain gun shots and often was revered by locals as a godman
No, we dont think "Why that one" for RRR. IMHO it is one of the best movies of 2022, period. None of the others this year including KGF is better than RRR!
It's awesome that RRR is being reviewed and talked about by a lot of popular movie guys on youtube. Still waiting on Chris Stuckman's, Grace Randolf's, Dan Crenshaw's, Gregg Alba's, and John Campea's review of it although I already know John Campea couldn't get through the first 15 mins of it and stopped. It's unfortunate. And the toxic fans had to go and bombard him with toxic tweets so much so that it traumatized John who then said he won't be trying to watch another Indian movie again at least anytime soon

Raju fighting with the crowd is not just his strength but also the fear public had for the police in those times which is a supporting factor to the movie in showing how a policeman would control a crowd. And I don't find why physics was mentioned. It's about a man's will and also the fear of police in public in British India.
I think why RRR did well in west is because after a long time people are watching something that is pure fun and is not minced with political virtue signalling. That applies to korean content too.
Jaby you hit the nail on the head. While a lot of us are happy that RRR is getting recognised, we're also a bit confused why none of the other ones have made it. Probably "ignoring physics" has something to do with it. Physics is ignored in some other Indian movies too, but not on this scale.
RRR and kgf 2 don't have so much margin at boxoffice RRR is something 1200 cr while kgf around 1250 cr if I remember correctly and kgf also had an advantage of sequal.....both are awesome movies
Tiger fighting is a common thing in India, one of my grandfathers had to wrestle with a tiger as it was clever enough to throw away his rifle. This happened when British were here. The tiger was a man eater. There is an interesting thing that happened, he actually didn't win but was lucky to escape the situation with serious injuries. While he was recovering, family members were on sentry duty to ward off cats because they thought if a cat meowed it could send my grandfather into a mental trauma. It took months to recover but after that he hunted the tiger down. Back then he was called upon by the District Magistrate to get rid of man eating tigers. There are many such real experiences from different parts in India.

RRR is basically the Crouching tiger hidden dragon of India films. There is a deep history of wuxia films and lore, but all anyone over here seems to know is crouching tiger hidden dragon. Me personally I liked Baahubali a lot more than RRR.

The physics argument about Indian movies is annoying. I mean look at Fast and Furious, Mission Impossible, Kingsman, none of their actions look physically possible, but still looks good.

The reason why I like RRR more than KGF2 is because the story is gripping, and the lead characters struggle so much to achieve their goal. RRR has many flaws yes, but the watching experience of the movie may make you forgive some mistakes here and there. KGF2 was pretty monotonous in my opinion. I really liked KGF1, but KGF2 not so much

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.........wow. I genuinely enjoyed your reaction video to the Pitch Meeting. Good comments and your own production values just top notch. That said I did have one quibble. I was a bit surprised at the amount of criticism you actually directed at Ryan's PM. He did a hilarious 6 1/2min pitch on a 3hour plus epic and not only did his usual hilarious take but covered the basic back story pretty well. I feel like critiquing what Ryan covered as if it was a movie review in the Times wasn't really a fair way to approach one of the most prolific, creative guys on the internet. RRR delivered in a way probably beyond what Hollywood can do at this point and Pitch Meeting delivered in exactly the expected way he always does.

KGF 2 was a sequel and therefore had more interest in Hindi audience, just like Bahubali 2 had. Both the orignals KGF and Bahubali did not do anywhere near as well as RRR.

I guess most people haven't noticed the lighting during the climax where Bheem applies leaves to Ram's wounds. It was dark, probably night. By the time Bheem was drinking water, the lighting is a bit more brighter and you can see tone is of a lighter shade of blue, like dawn. So its not like he got cured within seconds.
Another point to be considered is that it is believed that the real Alluri Sita Ramaraju had the capability to sustain gun shots and often was revered by locals as a godman

Still waiting on Chris Stuckman's, Grace Randolf's, Dan Crenshaw's, Gregg Alba's, and John Campea's review of it although I already know John Campea couldn't get through the first 15 mins of it and stopped. It's unfortunate. And the toxic fans had to go and bombard him with toxic tweets so much so that it traumatized John who then said he won't be trying to watch another Indian movie again at least anytime soon

Tiger fighting is a common thing in India, one of my grandfathers had to wrestle with a tiger as it was clever enough to throw away his rifle. This happened when British were here. The tiger was a man eater. There is an interesting thing that happened, he actually didn't win but was lucky to escape the situation with serious injuries. While he was recovering, family members were on sentry duty to ward off cats because they thought if a cat meowed it could send my grandfather into a mental trauma. It took months to recover but after that he hunted the tiger down. Back then he was called upon by the District Magistrate to get rid of man eating tigers. There are many such real experiences from different parts in India.

3:00 BHEEM does not outrun tiger plzz understand the scene . At first he dozzed the tiger which buyed him time to run far away while tiger fights with the wolf then When the tiger comes closer to him , Bheem hits with a wood log that too buyed him time to reach near the trap .
Then Throwing the leopard scene --- Here we need to Understand Bheem's Characteristics. He is a really strong trained tribal chief who lives in forest ;;; with his skills and power he can throw a 50-90 kilograms leopard quite possibly .
It is SS Rajamouli's direction who makes every scene more and more convincing for the audience .
I mean i don't know why some foolish people from India are saying that why RRR got the title of best... Like it is best South film faar better than most boring Romantic Bollywood movies...
And for the people saying the main characters were gay... Like what? I have seen the whole movie and no they aren't... Nowadays people just title every other two boys being friends gay... Seriously, while the artsy festival horses jockey for Oscars contention based purely on the hype leading up to their premieres, actual released films _RRR: Rise, Roar, Revolt_ + _Top Gun: Maverick_ + _Everything Everywhere All at Once_ further solidify into the Best Picture status of *“MUST NOMINATE OR WE’RE REPREHENSIBLE SNOBS”.*
Just *_imagine_* the possible shift in the narrative if either Ram Charan and/or N. T. Rama Rao, Jr. make it into the Best Actor (Musical/Comedy) category, or S.S. Rajamouli into Best Director, at the Golden Globes for _RRR._ (And no, no one has to remind everyone else that the film will obviously be relegated to Best Foreign Language Film there.)
As for _Top Gun: Maverick,_ allow me to set this stage:
- _Logan_ received a Best Adapted Screenplay nomination at the 90th Oscars.
