This scene makes me want to watch the movie again. 😂 Everything out of his mouth is comedic gold. People must have lived harder lives and aged differently years ago. I just read at the time of this movie's release, this actor was only 39.
TO BE FAIR to this new dad, they were near-identical infants all sharing the same comically-large crib, LOL. Even new parents are gonna get mixed up once in a while. Really, for a well-off family who own a FURNITURE STORE, those kids shoulda had separate beds, or at least different clothing, until they're old enough to be naturally distinguishable.
Trey Wilson was brilliant in this scene! I still don't know how the other actors managed to keep a straight face when he described the pajamas as having 'Yodas 'n s**t on 'em!" 🤣 I have to imagine that was improvised...lol
I used to gt him mixed up with the actor in Northern Exposure who played the USMC aviator-turned-astronaut, but that guy is still with us, in No Country for Old Men, by the same makers of THIS movie, the Cohens.
I dont understand. Trey Wilson is only 39 years old in this scene. He looks like he is 59. He died of cerebral hemorrhage a couple of years late in 1989. How does that even happen? Such a great actor.
That character actor playing the fingerprint investigator has been in a lot of stuff. He plays Mad Professors, the Mentally Off Butler and he was a Nazi in Hogan's Heroes.
He changed his name from Huffheinz to Arizona. Legally, his name is now Nathan Arizona. But if someone can find a lower price elsewhere he can claim to be Huffheinz.
...and this movie is how I learned the word was pronounced. It was in the lyrics of "I Don't Believe in Love", by Queensrÿche...god those days...I was in a band whose singer could hit that range so we covered a lot of 'rÿche.
He was amazing, you hang off every word he say's, he was that good. He would have been huge, he was buried on his 41st Birthday. Five days after his death. Bless him
I just counted and I think there were 17 jokes or at least humorous moments in that 2:45 clip. Almost the whole movie is like that. It's comedically dense.
Pretty sure I've got this on DVD. I'm just gotta see if I still have a player. Been a minute since I watched it. Absolutely one of the funniest movies ever made. I've still got a crush on Holly Hunter.
@frefai He was brilliant, brilliant actor. I can only predict how huge he would have been. But, (and you may not like this, so I will apologise in advance), chronologic speaking 40 is still 40. If you were 40 in the 80's man you were over the hill
2020 update: kids schooling online because of Covid-19 hysteria are not allowed to wear pajama bottoms while attending classes online, even the jammies with Yodas and shit.
“Don’t print that, son. If his mama reads that, she’s just gonna lose all hope” tickles me every time. 😂😂
It legit makes me holler laughing. I can’t help it. It’s just too funny. “Nobody sleeps naked in this house boy!” 😂😂
Every line he dropped in this scene was perfect
Nathan Jr., I think.
They had YODAS and shit on em!!!!
This rant ranks right up there with the one he delivered in Bull Durham about lollygagging. Underrated actor.
Every line in the whole movie was perfect
Every single line. “It’s Nathan Junior…. I think….”😂😂😂 Nobody sleeps naked in this house boy!! Unpainted Huffhines 😂😂😂 It’s all solid gold.
“Are you boys gonna just sit around drinking coffee in the one house in the state where I know my boy ain’t at?”😆
He's really very eloquent. "Do it my way, or watch your butt."
This scene makes me want to watch the movie again. 😂 Everything out of his mouth is comedic gold. People must have lived harder lives and aged differently years ago. I just read at the time of this movie's release, this actor was only 39.
Yes, that's about right. He died quite soon after this movie released at age 40.

Very understated, and one of my many favorite lines in this great movie.

Nathan Arizona is why I know the definition of "raison d'être". Brilliantly written comedy like this doesn't exist anymore.
Interesting you mention that because I too remember where I learned the definition which was from an anime called Ergo Proxy.
One of the best lines in the movie.
It's perfectly delivered too.
'Uhh, sir...y-you may want to wash your hands, at this point.'
Destroys me every single time. X'D

Trey Wilson was brilliant in this scene!
I still don't know how the other actors managed to keep a straight face when he described the pajamas as having 'Yodas 'n s**t on 'em!" 🤣
I have to imagine that was improvised...lol
...and a lot of retakes.
Cohen Bros are very particular about the dialogue, rarely if ever is a line improvised in a Cohen Bros film.
One of the classic lines of all time. Up there with Cousin Eddie describing the Yak Woman.

*@David Pierce - If you noticed, he also ruins the pillow that Officer Ron was using to prop his feet up on the table!* 🤣

Recalling this scene today and thought; shouldn’t we technically call the movie “Raising Huffhines”?
Can't believe he was about 36 when this was made he looked late 50s
Jim totally agree. I just found out recently that he died at 40 and was in his 30s when he was in this movie.
