My mind just got blown by the ability to switch the text font by letter. I didn't even know that was an option with certain fonts. What did you push to be able to pull up those options? I couldn't figure that out by watching the tutorial.

I had the same thing happening to me, if anyone else is, make sure you are SHIFT-clicking. Just clicking will fill the "Fill" box instead of the "Stroke".

If alternate glyphs are available for the typeface you are using, you should just be able to highlight the glyph you'd like to change and it will bring up the alternates for you to select. You can also open the OpenType panel: Window > Type > OpenType
From adding the Vintage Mask via Transparency on the single color artwork. How can I now print the entire artwork as 100% K to screen print the artwork?
Probably halftone dots right? If you are trying to just do one ink you would probably have to halftone the design so it has a similar gradient effect. I would give that a try because a gradient would just leave everything gray scaled.
Can anyone tell me why I'm having issues dragging the stroke down? It won't let me move. I see a hand and it looks like it will move but it just doesn't. I have illustrator cc.
You need to click and activate the Text layer in Layer window. Then go to Transparency and you will be able to click ond Make a Mask. It does not show if the layer is not selected.
You need to select the layer in the Layer selection window first. Then go to Transparency settings and click on Make Mask. If the layer, you are masking, is not selected as active (and you have selected different layer) - the function Make Mask will not work :)
How do you change the individual letter characters options within the font? I know only some fonts offer this.. but I've not been able to figure out how to do it... and couldn't figure out the lingo to get a proper google search going...

Dont know why but i had to use copies in amounts 50, 100, 150 and 200 to get the same effect but awesome tut non the less ^__^ time the binge-watch the rest of your stuff
Hey thanks for the tutorial! I am having trouble changing the text after I’ve added all the effects? When I backspace the text and add new letters it just becomes a cluster of shapes and is not spelling out a word… does anyone else have this issue? How can I fix this?

3:19 For those having trouble getting the stroke color to change, you need to shift-click with the eye dropper tool when clicking on the palette.

yes just multiply the layer from the transform pannel (at the bottom) as many times as you need
