I've got the v2 pocket one nice little thing to have was a bit worried wen I seen all the grief the fx chronys get on fb took it back to the rfd it held up and was showing the same as their skan so that says something to me I like mine
I’ve got the older version, always found it to be within a few fps of other chronographs. I’ve found them to be a bit fussy about how far back it’s mounted leading to it not recording the odd shot. As you said it requires a bit of free space out front to give best results, props for leaving in the unregistered shots. Once I got used to its foibles I’ve found it to be a great little tool.
problem three months ago, I bought the new version of the Pocket V2 chrono in the US and today it turns on, recognizes the Bluetooth, connects but does NOT read the shots... can you help me with the problem? I cannot remove the 2 internal screws that hold the plate...I live in Argentina and there is no one here who understands this...Thank you very much in advance I hope you can understand me
As with a few others commenting, I also have the first gen one, it isn't bad, misses a reading now and again but it'll do .. NOW .. If I were to be in the market for a new ( or first time) chrono, I'd go for the ones you screw on the end of your barrel .. Saves all the faffing about..
I have dropped and ‘broken’ my v1 - unscrewed and reseated the connector on the mobo, sprayed with some isopropyl alcohol and cleaned It keeps up okay 👍 app is fine once you find the menu options I have a barrel mounted chrono from Ali express that allowed calibration and works great when I want to use pen and paper
Have the v2 version and mine is registering shots that are not there. So, as example. First two shots are fine, I'm reloading for shot 3 and the v2 is already calling out a figure. Most of the times it's way off in numbers of the actual shots, i need to throw them out of the shot string. Find it very annoying.
Are you shooting a break barrel? I found mine registered an odd shot whilst loading with it attached to the barrel. I just shoot over the top of mine now👍
Am I the only one that experienced problems with this FX Pocket Chrono V2? Returned mine because it didn’t read low power .177 indoors. The dealer checked it and claimed it was in order. They tested in a large room. If it can’t be used in my hobby shop for basic tuning, it should be recognized as a shortcoming.
This is something we briefly touched upon in the video, as you can see we did get missed readings on a couple of shots. According to the manual the chrono does require 5m of clear space in front of the unit to get consistent readings. When we used the unit outside of our studio environment it worked flawlessly
And what you have demonstrated is what happened with the old version..it used to miss a lot of shots..not totally reliable..LMBR far better...yes biger, but better
We kept these missed readings in the video as we remain as honest as possible throughout our reviews.. However, we did mention that we are in a small enclosed space without the recommended clearance in front of the FX unit to register the shots. When we have used the FX Pocket Chrono V2 outside it performed faultlessly.
I bought one of the v2 but living and doing my testing in a flat the thing wouldnt register a shot .....paid £24 for a cheap chinese chrono off ebay that works perfectly
Hi Airgunfunrich, we actually have 2 Skan chrono’s which we test all rifles with, we do find actually that these FX chrono’s are very accurate when compared to our other chrono’s
Your analysis is very informative. And unbiased .Good synchronization.
Thank you kindly! We are as honest as possible in our reviews
I've got the older one, but the new one looks very compact, worth a look i think .

Could you use this with pistols? Really want a good chrono for my hdr50 and hds68 to test power upgrades

Natechrony. Certified to 1fps over 1000fps. No error readings and definitely no elastic bands. Oh and maybe 50 quid at least cheaper.maybe
Thankyou kind sir!

Mine did the same thing but worse. Had to send it back unfortunately.

LMBR are good, my friend I have one.
Personally I disagree I haven't had any issues with mine and it holds up to my rfds skan..

Must agree the LMBR a lot better. I had a v2 a little while ago and was grossly unreliable.

Had the old one. Wouldn’t trust that as far as I could throw it. Surprised as an RFD you don’t have a Skan tbh

My v2 holds up against my rfds skan aswell tbf
Elastic bands? Seriously?
I'm getting to the point where I'm going to shoot said v2 .....my £20 ebay buy is much easier to use.
I bought one and all I can say is they're a piece of shite.....
