Acevedo, Ojeda y Barido tienen un estilo de juego muy parecido, les gusta la gambeta de freestyle, nada que ver con Messi y Maradona que "gambeteaban" de una manera muy simple pero efectiva y siempre para adelante, creo que más que gambeta lo que Messi y Maradona tenían es reflejos, muy difícil quitarles la pelota porque la tiraban larga antes de que llegara el defensor, algo parecido a Aimar también aunque las lesiones le quitaron fuerza a su carrera, también el era derecho y no zurdo y eso lo hacía más fácil de marcar

I don’t see him as an ideal Barcelona type CDM, he is more of a destroyer but not necessarily a great organizer. I felt last season they should’ve signed Paredes on loan instead of Kessie cuz with a proper rotation option for Busi, they could’ve won the UCL.
@@Technical_ability_superiority exactly but for me i am not perturbed about romeu....i knw what he brings to the table....alot of dumb barca fans online bashing and trolling him for nt playing like busquets but to those who knw romeo we knw him; from way back in the academy to when chelsea stole him from us(his debut seaon in chelsea until injuries). I think we have been so used to seeing busi there that it is gonna be a while before they appreciate a new DM (even de jong was bashed for not playing like busi last season when he filled the DM spot) hes different from busi....like u said he is a destroyer(he is not gona be giving those line breaking passes , switch plays or busi's fancy leg works but trust me he knws how to fight for his team).
Our pety fans just need to learn and knw that the game is changing so there must be diversity in the positions players play. And i am just happy he is a STOP GAP replacement bcos we need not to rush to bring someone for rhe future.

@@isaacagyemang7725 I agree that Romeu adds a physical & hard tackling element to Barca’s midfield that they’ve lacked, but for me, there are specific ways of how to construct the midfield and I am not convinced Romeu is the profile for their system.
Like a destroyer is typically good in a 4-3-3 system that uses a classic number 10 or a 4-4-2 wide alongside a Scholes type of CM. But for Barcelona’s system where they use two 8s or an 8 and a 6, it is more effective to have a CDM like Paredes who is a good destroyer but also a good organizer.
I could be wrong but maybe Romeu has better ball playing abilities than I give credit for. Or maybe in a 4 man midfield with Gundogan, FDJ and Pedri, it will work effectively too.
