Honestly i wont consider baizhu’s shield as that kind of shield. It just a thin layer to reduce interruption, cuz his main is healing. Some people hate his shield for being weak, but tbh he can deliver dendro reaction plus healing during his shield mode and it refreshes every 2 sec, so it’s a top tier for me💚
The point of the video was just to show how the shield works in different characters! Yanfei's main isn't a shielder either and she only gets it at c4 iirc, it's just a good way to compare against the same enemies. This might help people decide if they want certain characters or not, or simply realize they already have pretty good units. Whether his shield is used like all the other shields, it doesn't matter, it's still a shield that was implemented into his character (when they could have put a interruption resistance instead for example) Baizhu is still good at something else, much like other characters on this comparison~
@@merespect8976 not if we (finally) get a 5 star HP bow. As I'm sure you saw, Layla has to use Nilou's sword to reach that absorption, and her shield last less time than Diona's. I do think Kirara's shield is stronger tho, but the setup time makes it specific to bloom/+ teams.
@@lasody1766 actually diona and kirara shield uptime is almost same if you ask there is something 0.5 second time difference and u also have to take the cd of diona skill which takes 3 second after shield uptime than kirara shield cd resets before uptime
Layla's shield is not relevant compared to Thoma's. Thoma is just the superior shielder and he's very good in burgeon teams too. He's just a better unit overall.

It's so convenient, keeps you from being one-shot and then quickly regenerates, heals you when it does so, AND applies dendro

I just pair Thoma with normal attackers. That way, I can stack his shield while normal attacking.

Basically you activate character specific conditions to make the shield stronger and resist more damage before breaking
stack, add up, when use Thoma shield, ok, when use Thomas's burst and keep atacking, shield stacks, shield more durable, Thoma more protected.
