I love what you've done with this. A beautiful update to something that didn't really seem to be part of a spaceship, but something odd that you could find in a friend's house. This retains that feeling, while keeping the outer space look to it with the rounded room, and when you open the panels.
Brachacki’s original intent for the time rotor was that it would rise when the TARDIS dematerialised, rotate when in flight, and only retract when landed, rather than the familiar continuous rise and fall motion we ended up with. Newbery’s original intent for the secondary console was that it would feature a “navigational instrument” that would extend from the top when to show when the TARDIS was in flight without the sort of mechanical requirements and constant motion the regular time rotor had, as it was forever breaking down in the main console prop. This seems like the perfect combination to both ideas. I like how classy it is - neat, subtle, understated, not too showy. Really lovely.
Loving this! BBC needs to hire you! Just found your channel and working my way through your videos and loving them all! The mix of new and classic is amazing. This console room always has a special place in my heart. 4 explaining to Leela how the tardis is bigger on the inside is such a great scene
Thinking... it's PERFRCT but IF you gave this a texture makeover in metallic copper it'd be a really good interpretation of Smith's first console room... But obviously this is Baker territory!

Thanks - if this was in a friends house - they would be my 'best' friend :-)

Well done! I've always wanted a revisit to this control room in the series. One can hope. 👍

Thanks and 'Robots of Death' - awesome episode :-)
It always bugged me that the secondary console didn’t have a time rota so glad to see one here
Really nice. Perfect addition. In fact not so much an addition as a correction. The secondary control room was lacking this feature.
I loved the secondary console room on TV but you've surpassed it - this is amazing!
Much prefer your designs and redesigns to the ‘frozen columns of piss’ control room of the current series.
Oh do Piss! Off
GrumpyWhittaker I actually like the latest series. But not a great fan of the control room.
Wonderful and a really nice subtle improvement on it.
Pretty unique idea
Most gorgeous console room ever, also is there a way to get in contact with you like Email or Hangouts
The "central column" is actually called a/the Time Rota
Nice one! :D
