Did NOT RECEIVE THE WATCH!!!! Package never came, NOT DELIVERED... No response from seller after I repeatedly tried to contact via chat, mail etc etc.....BAD!!
@A-Plus Computer Services According to the seller the parcel was returned to him and did not ship. I opened a dispute and the seller shipped another watch but I have the feeling that the seller provided a tracking number but never shipped the watch. He provided a second tracking number and asked me to close the dispute. I told him I will when I see the tracking trajectory is moving. I received the watch after 12 days. I still have the watch and is working well ever since no Issues. But I won't buy again from that seller
I been wearing one of these as my daily beater watch, still keeping good time after 2 years of wear and tear. I thought it would break as it was cheap but they are a good watch for the money can't really go wrong with one
I have the Exp. 11 GMT homage, very good watch , mov. Within 2 sec. A day, lum. Still readable after 8 hours , this is my daily go to watch. PAGANI have come a long way with their quality, very good value😊
Thanks John, I can confirm that the 2021 root beer release has the improvements incorporated into the Bersigar models. These include a better bracelet, slimmer case, tightened bezel, and better overall QC.
Wow, what a great review. It’s nice to see someone that gives every watch a fair chance and doesn’t just crap on it because it is a homage. I really like homages because they allow me, a high school student with low income a chance to try designs that I like. Thank you for an honest and detailed review!
Only a few years ago, someone said a company could not produce a good watch for less than $150, due to production cost constraints. How in hell do the Chinese do it? I have several of these watches, and all look amazing for the price, and none look cheap or junky. The only question is, how long will the mechanicals work well? If 5 years or more, I'd say well worth the money.
Thank you for watching Robert. The NH35A will last for longer than 5 years. The reality is they are less expensive to replace with new, than to service. The Pearl DG5833GMT doesn't have the same durability, as the build quality and Quality Control isn't Seiko level. It is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad one. So it could last for a short period, or 5 years; its impossible to define an answer. The overall build quality of 2021 PD-1661, and PD-1662 has improved over earlier versions. I was really impressed with improved bezel action on this piece, and also on the PD-1661 (rubber strap version) I reviewed. It's good to see Pagani Design improving gradually with time. Regards, #WR4K
@@futb2665 Haven’t seen a Japanese watch with a automatic movement, sapphire crystal and ceramic bezel for $150 or less. Pagani is seriously magic I never considered their watches before bc I thought they’re too good to be true but they’re actually are really too good that it almost seems unbelievable. They allow us to have a very similar watch even in build material to really expensive watches for a really low price which I appreciate
Just received mine today from Amazon. Beautiful watch, although the clasp edges are razor sharp deadly weapons. Really great bezel. No play no wobble. Seems to be running fine. I guess it's a crapshoot with this GMT movement. Oh well, my many Rolexes are but a dim memory since they went price insane.
Amazing review! So glad to hear the positives, as I've just ordered one a few days ago and was hoping that it lives up to the hype😅 Thanks again for your outstanding work. God bless 🙏🏽
I just today ordered the watch from Amazon. I hope this one will incorporate the improvements you discussed and I don't get a new old stock. Beautiful watch but the "crapshoot" idea worries me a bit.
Outstanding review. Put me over the edge. Have one enroute to the US. Very much looking forward. Great job. Crisp,, clean, detailed review. Excellent videography and 👍for the gloves.
Worth noting that with the provided screw links, the minimum wrist size is roughly 17cm, so while the lug to lug will fit most wrists, the bracelet has some limitations, which is quite frustrating for those out there with smaller wrists
PG Design stepping up on Rolex scarcity wait list as always thank you for an excellent video. I have the kermit and hulk version as well as the black one adding this one to my collection :) it looks like anytime I watch one of your videos I end up getting a new watch!!!!!
Thank you for watching Teddy. Glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations. The Kermit, Hulk, and black PD-1661's are excellent choices. Check out my reviews of them (if you haven't already). Wear yours in good health. Regards.
@@teddyhenriquez5192 Excellent choice. The black on rubber strap I reviewed is the best quality PD-1661 I have reviewed. I was really pleased with the improved bezel action, same as on this PD-1662. The latest ones without "Explorer" on the dial are definitely better quality overall. Regards.
Still waiting for a factory to do a proper rose gold root beer version...bliger tried but no polished center links and the RG was a bit on the copper colored side
I ordered another one directly form Pagani. I hope its as great as the one you reviewed. My last one was terrible. None of the rose gold tones match and the bezel is a travesty.
I would like to buy this one, but the quality control is questionable with Pagani. I purchased the PD 1644 and it was perfect so ordered a "Hulk" and the cyclops was skewed and the bezel was off also. I am now waiting for its replacement from the Pagani store on Ali Express. I wonder if they could check the watch out before sending it or if that is not feasible. It seems it would be better to do that than hassle with the return process. Any suggestions?
Thank you for watching Mark. Unfortunately that is the gamble one takes when buying a Pagani Design from AliExpress; it is the luck of the draw whether one gets a good or bad one. Generally the QC on the latest PD-1661 is better than the earlier versions. Pagani Design work on a business model of mass production with minimal profit margin per piece. To give you an idea; batches of 500 pieces of each colour PD-1661 are made. QC therefore isn't done on the 500 pieces in a batch as that would slow down production, increasing production costs; the wholesale price per piece to resellers, and the retail price per piece. So to answer your question, no it isn't feasible to check your Hulk for QC defects before sending it out. Pagani Design are a watch factory; they do not retail watches on AliExpress. This is a common misconception. For example collectors think "Pagani Design Official Store" means they are dealing direct with the factory; they aren't. The factory makes the watches and wholesales them to multiple AliExpress resellers. The resellers are buying the watches in bulk orders in order to get low wholesale prices. They don't QC the watches in every shipment; they are sold as they come from the factory. Any suggestions? If you want better quality buy a San Martin SN017. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you for watching Alessandro. The plating will wear off in time; depending on how often, and how hard you wear the watch. PVD plating has similar durability to gold plating. Regards, #WR4K
Thank you for watching. The PD-1662 and PD-1644 are similar quality. I prefer the Seiko VK63 as its more reliable than the Pearl DG5833GMT. The problem is it is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad one. The VK63 is very reliable and accurate in comparison. Overall I think the PD-1644 is a better quality/value piece. Also check out my PD-1664 review (rubber strap version). I was really impressed with the comfort level on the rubber strap. I have also reviewed the PD-1644 (bracelet version). Regards, #WR4K

Nice Review! I ordered my one allready an it arrived 1 week ago. Nice watch, i own all the Pagani Designs GMT and Subs . BUT... the crown Size is disgusting! All other GMT`s, like the Pepsi and the Batman got an "normal" crown. This is like a golden Berry :-(
You think the movement is a deal breaker? I've been aware of the Pagani GMT, but heard some people have issues with the movement. I want it, but kinda afraid I'll be one of unlucky ones.
Thank you for watching. It is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad Pearl DG5833GMT. I have also reviewed the Pepsi, and Batman; versions with the same movement and they were all OK. Regards.
Thank you for watching Roel. I appreciate the suggestion. I am not interested in doing this, as I have already made a Glidelock clasp modification video (see link below). I don't know the dial size. The dial feet are in a different position as its not a Seiko movement used, therefore you would need to remove them and use dial dots to stick it on to the movement. Regards, #WR4K
Hey great review! do you know the smallest size wrist the watch on the bracelet would fit. I've got the gmt on the jubilee from pagani and with all the links removed and using the micro adjust at its smallest setting it wears a too loose for my liking, wearable but noticeably loose which isn't ideal
Thank you for watching Daniel. Glad you enjoyed it. 6" is the minimum size for the Oyster bracelet. Often collectors are unaware there are 3 micro adjustment dimples on he inside of the clasp to shorten it to the minimum. Both the PD-1662 Jubilee, and PD-1661 Oyster bracelets have these 3 dimples inside the clasp. To adjust it, open the Easylink extension and flip it over. You will then see 2 slots in the end link. You will need a Bergeon 5757F spring bar tool from Amazon. This has a fine 2 prong fork small enough to fit into the slots. Press in the spring bar at one end while putting pressure on the end link and it will disengage from the dimple. Then do the same with the other end. You can them slide it from the out micro adjust dimples, to the middle one, and inner one. This will reduce the bracelet length to the absolute minimum. Regards.
@@watchreviews4k thanks. I found the internal micro adjust a bit fiddly compared to standard micro adjust you see on most bracelets but managed to get it to its smallest size in the end, just a bit looser still than I'd like. with a two tone watch like this you've got to keep it on the bracelet imo. I've been told the jubilee bracelets on pagani are a bit longer than the oyster style ones. If this fits as small as a 6 inch wrist I might just have to go for it
@@dannyfitz1878 Yes, the micro adjustment is fiddly. I suggested to the Pagani Design factory they introduce a Glidelock to the PD-1661, and PD-1662. They liked they idea, but didn't want to do it as they were worried about legal claims from Rolex SA Geneva, as the Glidelock is patented. Of course many other brands have copied it and are are taking the risk. See my Glidelock clasp modification video below; it may interest you. Many collectors have used the Carlywet Glidelock on their PD-1661, and PD-1662; as it reduces the bracelet length more. Carlywet also sells the two-tone version which would suit. Regards. ua-cam.com/video/4n6HpqgM7CM/v-deo.html
@@watchreviews4k I'll definitely give that a watch, thanks a lot. Only found your channel a few days ago and I've watched quite a few reviews already hadn't seen any of the other content but you make some great videos, keep it up! I did consider seeing if I was able to drill 'standard' micro adjust slots but it seemed like a lot of hassle. I'm OK sizing bracelets, switching straps, adding deployents to leather straps but getting a drill involved seemed like a step too far for me haha
@@dannyfitz1878 Try the minimum of the 3 micro adjustment dimples inside the clasp. If that doesn't make the bracelet short enough, the best option is to buy a two-tone Carlywet Glidelock. See link below; I think the rose gold would match this Root Beer best. The Glidelock offers shorter minimum bracelet length as it's shorter than the Pagani Design clasp. Hi, really great video... Very informative! QQ, how do you know if your purchasing a 2021 model, other than a seller saying 2021 - are there any signs to look out for or would it be from the spec sheet on the dimensions? Thank you
@@watchreviews4k thanks for your reply... Guess it's just trusting the seller that when they say it's the 2021 release that it actually is and not the old one then
Anyway you did a very nice review, I have appreciated it. This watch is very nice. I have the GMT red and blue jubilee. and a Daytona made by Pagani Design
@@watchreviews4k yes perfectly water resistent and on time... I wish I could buy the Root Beer PD 1662 model... I have also an original Rolex submariner 5513 1964 in nearly perfect condition..
Is the loom improvement at 7:15 also applied on current 2022 GMT PD1662 color variants as well as on the 2022 PD1661? Are there actually any further improvements in 2022 or are all current PD1661 PD1662 variants made comparable to this 2021 root-beer GMT variant? It seems the PD1661 does have a 2022 improvement (not clear what has been improved however), while the GMT PD1662 has been updated to 12.5mm in thickness (and better loom perhaps? Not clear if only this root beer has improved loom or that all color variants of the GMT PD1662 have received this update, and maybe even the PD1661). Would you advice the 2022 PD1661 over the 2022 GMT PD1662 because of the more reliable Seiko movement? I assume the dimensions are similar. I'm looking for an all black PD1661 or PD1662 with brushed center-link oyster bracelet that I can primarily wear in dressy situations, under a shirt cuff, but also in a casual setting. A one-piece do-it-all watch let's say. I have a 6.5 inch (16.5cm) wrist. Thanks in advance!
Yes, the lume has improved on all 2022 Pagani Design models, including the PD-1661, and PD-1662 (all colours). I recommend the PD-1661 as the NH35A is more reliable than the Pearl DG5833GMT. Other improvements to the PD-1661 are improved bezel action, and larger crown. Regards, #WR4K

Thank you for watching Kylian. Yes, Pagani Design have also upgraded the lume on the PD-1661 (and other models). Recently I reviewed the latest 2021 PD-1661 (rubber strap version); and the lume was better than earlier "Explorer" dial versions. However it wasn't as good as on this PD-1662. Regards.

Buyer beware! I love PD but my friend loaned one of these to me for my channel, the bracelet is crap. The diver extension did not open, the screw pins were bent, and aside from me having an extra stainless steel pagani bracelet my friend wouldn’t have been able to size it as I used screw pins from it. Pagani sent him a replacement bracelet, and it was just as bad if not worse. Two screw pins would not even free up on one side of the clasp so I almost couldn’t size it for him, fortunately two links could be removed on the other side of the clasp, and the replacement bracelet also came with the dice extension broken, unable to open. FYI, if you can’t deploy the dive extension you can’t get access to the springbar underneath the clasp to use the micro adjustment. Was going to buy this one (rootbeer) but two strikes like that and you are out. Get a diff colour way, I wonder if the pvd coating process had something to do with sticking/bent screw pins.
Sorry to hear of your problems. Often collectors have trouble removing screw pins are they are bonded in with threadlocker. The correct method of removal is to first heat up the threadlock using a butane blowtorch. This breaks the bond between the screw thread and internal bracelet thread; thus the screw pins can be unscrewed freely. See my video below where I detail this on my Rolex Oyster Perpetual 41; same tips apply to all bracelets with screw pins. With regards to the Easylink style extension, yes its often the case they are too tight in the body of the clasp and therefore difficult or impossible to deploy. It varies from watch to watch, some deploy easily, some don't. Regards, #WR4K ua-cam.com/video/0dBTWjswqC8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WatchReviews4K
@@watchreviews4k no, I can’t imagine they were bonded in with thread locker because this is the way it came new out of the box….both new bracelets had similar issues with screw pins being either bent or impossible to remove, which should not happen on a new bracelet. Both dive extensions were impossible to deploy. The bracelet was terrible simple as that. To be fair, and I mention this in my video, never had an issue like that before on any pagani watch I received, but two times in a row with the same model/bracelet, that’s troublesome to me. I will never buy the rootbeer version, I recently got myself the Pepsi version and it’s fantastic
@@watchreviews4k I had another person comment on my video that they had issues with another model, but similar bracelet, with the screws breaking. I’m wondering if there is something that is happening because of the colouring or plating of the stainless steel that is causing some of these issues with the screw pins? Because I’ve never had an issue with a bracelet with screw pins on a plain stainless steel. My date just homage with two tone jubilee also had screw pins that just won’t budge on one side of the bracelet
@@MirrlyonTime You need to heat up the threadlock on the screws with a butane blowtorch to break the bond prior to removal. See my video below for bracelet resizing tips. Regards, #WR4K ua-cam.com/video/0dBTWjswqC8/v-deo.html

Does it stil work? The pearl movement seems to be bad as they say.. im worried il have to reject my watch on the doorstep but if you say it works to this say i believe you
Do you mean Pearl DG5833 movement used in this PD-1662? It is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad movement. If good they have good reliability and OK accuracy. If bad they can fair in a matter of months. So the quality is variable. The latest PD-1662's use the Seiko NH34A which has a higher build quality, and reliability. See my PD-1662 NH34A version review below as an example. I think its worth paying the extra for the NH34A version of the PD-1662. Regards, #WR4K ua-cam.com/video/x3ogOdLDUGM/v-deo.html
I have 2 invicta watches with gold plating 2 years now and they look the same, I don't know how good pagani does their coating. I would have to wait and see after I buy this one.
Your review was done a year ago,and it was an excellent and explicit review! I'm impressed with the watch(though I'm not a fan of Rolex and its snobbery), but one thing you said would be a deal-breaker. You said that its movement was "the luck of the draw". Has PD improved the movement,or is it still the "luck of the draw"? And how would one tell the difference between the Seiko NH35 and the Pearl 5833?
Thank you for watching John. Glad you enjoyed it. The DG5833 hasn't improved. It is still the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad one. The NH35A doesn't have a GMT hour hand. The PD-1661 (Submariner Date homage) uses the NH35A. The PD-1662 (GMT Master II homage) used the DG5833. The NH35A has "NH35A" engraved on the rotor. The DG5833 has "PAGANI DESIGN" on the rotor. Hopefully Pagani Design will upgrade to using the new NH34A GMT movement as used in the Seiko 5KX GMT's. They are more reliable as per the NH35A. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k Thank you for your quick answer. That's really a shame that PD still uses the PG5833. Even with an uptick in price that's still a big chance to take. Guess I'll have to see what San Martin offers or consider Seiko's newest gmt. And buying from Amazon would probably be just as bad.
@@watchreviews4k I'm considering going on aliexpress to buy the Phylida NTTD watch with the PT-5000 movement(branded). Have you dealt with the movement? Could you give an idea of what to expect in buying from them(reliable?) ? Regards

I have reviewed many watches with the PT5000; it isn't as reliable as the NH35A, and isn't as smooth to manually wind, or use the crown. Regards, #WR4K
@@Thor7 The NH35A doesn't have a GMT complication. The PD-1662 case is made for the Pearl DG5833GMT movement, so the NH35A wouldn't fit. Regards, #WR4K

a strange question about the watch , can i shower with it warm ? my daytona hommage from pagani lost the numbers from the bezel after a few months showering with it ,can someone help
Thank you for watching. I advise not showering, or bathing wearing any watch. Reason being, the heat pressurises the air inside the watch; which can damage the rubber O-ring seal around the crystal, caseback, and crown; thus causing the watch to leak and condensation to form inside the watch. Cold water from swimming, diving, washing hands, etc; does not do any damage as the cold doesn't pressurise the air inside; therefore doesn't make it expand. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k much thx for the fast response i love your detailed videos, i have the root beer watch since yesterday and everything is fine, but im kinda scared about the movement, if its gonna hold up long, do you have any tips how to figure out if i got a good or bad movement ?
@@dobiloru Congratulations. Wear yours in good health. There is no way of telling if one has a good or bad Pearl DG5833 movement; one has to just use the watch and see how it performs. It really is impossible to say from looking at movement, or the feeling of how it manually winds. There are many factors in whether a movement is good or bad. The quality of the machining of the parts, the lubrication of the movement, was the movement QC inspected or not? Putting a watch on a timegrapher is the only way to tell if its a good or bad movement. For example if the beat rate isn't stable, or the accuracy isn't good (running very fast, or very slow). I appreciate this answer isn't going to put your mind at rest, but it is the reality. It really is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad one from the factory. Regards, #WR4K

Just received mine today from Amazon. Beautiful watch, although the clasp edges are razor sharp deadly weapons. Really great bezel. No play no wobble. Seems to be running fine.

With you think is the better choice pagani GMT or the Daytona homage?
Thank you for watching. The PD-1662 and PD-1644 are similar quality. I prefer the Seiko VK63 as its more reliable than the Pearl DG5833GMT. The problem is it is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad one. The VK63 is very reliable and accurate in comparison. Overall I think the PD-1644 is a better quality/value piece. My question is this pagani watch is worth to buy?
Yes. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k thank you.
Regards.

Regards.

Regards, #WR4K
ua-cam.com/video/0dBTWjswqC8/v-deo.html&ab_channel=WatchReviews4K
Congratulations on the Pepsi. Wear it in good health. Regards, #WR4K

And buying from Amazon would probably be just as bad.

a strange question about the watch , can i shower with it warm ? my daytona hommage from pagani lost the numbers from the bezel after a few months showering with it ,can someone help
Great vidoe! huge fan of pagani they did a great job on the watch it looks stunning.!
Thank you for watching Isaac. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
The piece I received when I ordered had a horrible bracelet, it felt really light and almost hollow, clasp was sharp in some places and some links get stuck in certain positions, is this normal? Should I be returning the watch?
Thank you for watching. No, that isn't normal. Yes, you should return the watch for refund or replacement. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k thank you too
I want one so bad but I'm scared of getting stuck with a bad movement
Thank you for watching. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k so I'm guessing you wouldn't recommend it because of that lol
Very good review. Nice watch and unbelievable value for money
Thank you for watching Ivan. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards.
What are the gloves for ?
Thank you for watching Darren. The white gloves help my 4K camcorder focus, and also prevent smudges on the watch from my fingers when handling. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k thanks for replying,I just wondered why you had them on , now I know lol 😆 thanks again
Great review mate. Love from Shannon 👍
Thank you for watching Bilal. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards.
@@watchreviews4k I am honestly impressed by the quality of your videos. Just one tip, I think you should change your thumbnails to some wrist shots or photos you take yourself. The reason I have never seen any of your videos is because the thumbnail is a little off-putting. It gives the vibes that some poor low-quality review videos have. Your camera quality is the best I have seen for a watch review channel. It will be a waste to not show it in the thumbnail. I visited your channel for the first time by looking at the watch auction on eBay. If you change your thumbnails to some actual wrist shots, I can guarantee you will gain a lot more views and subscribers 👍
@@bilalafzal8098 Thank you for the suggestion Bilal. Regards.
Love this. If I didn’t already have the Parnis RootBeer I’d be straight on AliExpress for one of these.
Thank you for watching Joe. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards.
Very beatiful
Thank you for watching Bruno. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
Nice one sir! Do you plan on reviewing san martin's submariner? 😊😎
Thank you for watching Andrei. Glad you enjoyed it. I asked San Martin to send me a V3 Water Ghost and they said no. Regards.
@@watchreviews4k that’s very short sighted of them. I can’t think of a better way of marketing their watches.
Does the watch have a 120 click bezel? Or Just a 24 hours bezel?
If it has 120 click... Its a Deal breaker. I want a GMT and Not a Sub :S
Thank you for watching. 120. Regards, #WR4K
Oh ok :/ thanks for your quick Response. Its sad that they did not a 24 hours bezel :S
@@BlnCty030 its based on the older GMT master II ref 16710 that had 120 clicks
Thank you for watching Fer. Regards, #WR4K
Hope they make a version with the NH34
Pagani Design are currently making new PD-1662 batches with the NH34A, so they will also have a Root Beer version. Regards, #WR4K
I finally purchased a root beer GMT with Nh34 from BLIGER during the recent sale. They even customized the dial and crown. From the few reviews available, BLiGER seems superior to Pagani Design.
@@rioriggs3568 I don't think so. Bliger watches are usually cheaper and have lower water resistance rating.
Video Quality execellent..
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards, #WR4K
I need this on full everose, but cant find one 😢
AliExpress or dhgate has more then any site
better than parnis?
Thank you for watching. I have a policy of only giving my opinion on watches I have handled. Regards, #WR4K
Excellent review John,
Pagani Design are doing a fantastic job. I am very impressed with their watches.
This may be their best Rolex Homage to date.
Thank you again, for a very thorough and insightful review.

Thank you for watching. Also check out my Batman review. It may interest you. Wear yours in good health. Regards.
@@watchreviews4k yeah i watched your batman and even your pepsi. great reviews man! cheers
How long do pagani watches last?
It depends on the model, and how hard the watch is worn. The NH35A used in the PD-1661 is more reliable than the DG5833 GMT in the PD-1662. Therefore it isn't possible for me to state a specific time period your watch will last such as 1 year or 2 years etc. Regards, #WR4K
@@watchreviews4k ok thks
For this price of nearly 65€ it is more than perfect! 😂😅
Thanks for the comprehensive review.
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed it. Regards.
Awww no hash tag for archie. I bet he's fuming.lol.👍
Thank you for watching Darren. Archie, Tristano, and Adrian; were the watch channels I first started watching in 2014. Now I am only subscribed to Adrian's, and Oisín's channels. Since having my own watch channel, I watch less watch content. Regards.
Beauty!! My grail
Well the Rolex version is my grail!
Thank you for watching Paul. Regards.
Can anyone here vouche for the long term reliability of the movement.
Thank you for watching Hannes. The Pearl DG5833GMT isn't as reliable as an NH35A. It is the luck of the draw if one gets a good or bad one from the factory. If one is lucky they can run for years, however if one gets a bad one they can fail within months. Regards, #WR4K
