@10:37, Emkay was correct, the umbrella is there to catch bolts/nuts/small things if they fall off whatever the person is working on, because otherwise they would just disappear into the marina forever which can be *quite* annoying when fixing something mechanical on a yacht. I'm not sure what exactly they're working on but the anchor windlass and jib furler both tend to have fiddly parts that just want to fall in.
This situation would be worse than the dropping your 10mm socket into the recesses of an engine bay. You might get lucky at it goes all the way and hits the garage floor. BUT in water, it is gone forever, unless you are a diver with an underwater metal detector.
People like heating up stroopwaffles with the steam of their coffee so that the caramel is softer! You can also just straight up dunk them into the coffee, it’s really good. Can’t really have them anymore myself though

Lol, that sounds like a fun time! But can you actually get a 3D effect from doubling the same image with a slight virtual misalignment and different hues? I thought you needed the image filmed/rendered from two slightly different angles, in order for it to be perceived as 3D. But then again, my parents had a smart TV that could convert 2D video into shutter 3D. I don't know how this worked and I'm not sure if this 400€ 49" 4k LCD from 2014 had enough processing power to on the fly render two images from slightly different angles out of one 2D image, or how they would have done it otherwise, but I do know that it did create a real perception of depth in the image, similar to the Nintendo 3DS, but didn't give you the effect of objects in the foreground popping out of the screen and floating in front of you, like you get from content that was rendered in 3D
7:56 "If the voltage fits, right?" Triple A and Double A batteries are 1.5 Volts, so the voltage will fit (as will C or D batteries). The difference between them is the physical size as well as how much charge they hold. Note: Some rechargeable batteries are 1.2 instead of 1.5V.
And to add, such differences in voltages are often negligible for most common devices as those same batteries lose voltage over time within that very range and them some. Making that very viable for a tight spot.

As an electrical engineer, the AAA to AA converter should work, and be mostly fine. The voltage is the same, it’s mostly just that AA batteries last longer, and can handle more current. I wouldn’t recommend doing it, but it would likely work in a pinch.
Pennies as washers are much more common than you might think. A medium sized washer is 10 to 20 cents and a penny is 1 cent. 90% saving or more. The battery is nothing new adapters for AAA to as and C to D have been around for over 30 yrs.
I have also used spare change in hand for washers, as you note it can be cheaper, and it can even save a long trip to the hardware store to buy an overpriced blister pack of 20 or more crap washers when you only need 1 or 2 and job done. As long as the situation is served and you're not risking galvanic corrosion, in which case it'll serve temporarily and you can replace it later when you have the right washer.

@2:17 This is a treacle waffle (according to Google, also called a syrup or caramel waffle) or stroopwafel in Dutch. They are quite good and tasty when cold but when they are heated they go soft and become way better. You can hear it up by putting it in the microwave for a few seconds (not recommended) or by balancing it on the edge of your coffee or tea. This cup is too big to balance the waffle so you need to build something.
I gotta say that I'm impressed with the series of 9V batteries connected to a USB charger. @6:30, yea this is completely normal in the nerf modding scene, though pretty outdated. They aren't that powerful, you still have to use the internal air tank, you just use the external tank to fill the internal tank so you don't need to pump it 30 times. It's probably the most basic HPA blaster build you can do, and not really good in the current meta. Current meta at most clubs is high powered home built springers with insane range such as the Caliburn or Talon Claw designs, with a small flywheel blaster (usually a modded Stryfe, or Worker Nightingale or similar) on your hip for close range work. Super high end setups will use HPA full blowback, sealed breech blasters that have the volume of fire advantage of a flywheeler with the range and power of a good springer.
I was starting to judge this, then remembered myself explaining to my supervisor why larp weapons are so expensive and the different materials/methods used. Hobbies always bring out the best creativity
Before there were 10-beer games, there were 10-beer patents. What is a 10-beer game or patent you ask? It's when you have 10 beers and then design something. It doesn't matter what it is, game or machine or art; you have to be drunk doing it. Also I don't think I'd call the ultimate mousetrap there colonial engineering... Victorian probably. That's the sort of thing in Victorian era Americans came up with. It's the physical precursor to modern shovelware.
6:39 if that tank is what I think it is then we’ve used those in the autoshop before. It’s designed to push so much air into a tire so fast that the air forces the tire to seal the gap between it and the rim shut. Usually we only use it when a tire just won’t seal for whatever reason. Also those can (and will) blow out your ear drums if you’re in the same 5 feet as it when it’s used properly (unless the room you’re in is HUGE).
It has been a long while since my last electrical class, but I am pretty sure that the 9v phone charger thing wouldn't work. Or if it did, it would only work once and very spectacularly.
well it depends exactly how this charger is designed, it's at least the right input voltage of ~120V, but obviously it's DC, idk how most chargers are designed, but it's not completely impossible that the design of this one might allow it to also work with DC by coincidence, I wouldn't try it with my phone though

Well, I'm glad the thumbnail isn't one, because that would instantly destroy the charger & blow a fuse & probably start a fire, if there's anything particularly flammable underneath it.

I bet Damien would enjoy the tabletop game Gaslands
Vehicle posts are always my favorite. Insane how messed up these things can be
6:39 if that tank is what I think it is then we’ve used those in the autoshop before. It’s designed to push so much air into a tire so fast that the air forces the tire to seal the gap between it and the rim shut. Usually we only use it when a tire just won’t seal for whatever reason. Also those can (and will) blow out your ear drums if you’re in the same 5 feet as it when it’s used properly (unless the room you’re in is HUGE).
my dad said, and I quote: "you know it takes all kinds to make the world go 'round... but that's just dumb."
18:54 They bundled their home and auto.
This is the most hilariously beautiful subreddit I have ever seen.
the umbrella boat one, yeah looks like its to catch anything they drop otherwise its gone forever
Hey, hey, hey! The mousetrap is a brilliant idea
18:53 They bundled home and auto. :)
My Brother in christ why did no one tell me Damien was back in EmKay I love this guy!
As always " good judgement comes from experience which comes from bad judgement"
Most people: WHY?!
Me: hmmm the farm might have an air compressor 🤔
It has been a long while since my last electrical class, but I am pretty sure that the 9v phone charger thing wouldn't work. Or if it did, it would only work once and very spectacularly.
The 9v is DC and the charger is AC it won't work 😂
@@FreelancerFreak that is what I thought. You need more than just what was in the video.
well it depends exactly how this charger is designed, it's at least the right input voltage of ~120V, but obviously it's DC, idk how most chargers are designed, but it's not completely impossible that the design of this one might allow it to also work with DC by coincidence, I wouldn't try it with my phone though
7:34 that ain’t snow from being used, that’s snow from it sitting around outside as it is only on the uppersides of it
10:39 OH THAT IS GENIUS, THE UMBRELLA IS TO CATCH ANY BOLTS OR SCREWS THAT FALL DOWN
13:20 reminds me of a computer-mouse i used to have. One of the buttons quit working, so i ran 2 wires out the top and crossed them, not quite touching. Looked weird, but it worked just fine. To click on something, just tap the wires causing them to touch. No worries on shock, it's 5 volts.
I love Damien's laugh!
AAA to AA is a genius idea if you need a battery that size right away
The umbrella is to catch anything that might fall in the water. Lost many tools workimg over the drink. 10:35
The toilet in the last post took me out 😭😭😭🤣
A Nerf war criminal earning their trip to the Nerf Hague.
10:31 They're using the umbrella to catch screws that might fall off. That's genious
Thanks, that first one made me crack up. 😭😂
Try Stroopwaffels immediately mate, you wont regret the choice 🤤
Well, I'm glad the thumbnail isn't one, because that would instantly destroy the charger & blow a fuse & probably start a fire, if there's anything particularly flammable underneath it.
0:51 that’s the new version of the Dale’s Bug van
The square body chevy on the tank is DeBoss Garage, he’s got a few videos on it, plenty of other content too.
I too grew up in a rural area and love a good Frankenstein car.
Made it through to the last one and now I’m dead.
As a Dutch person 2:18 That is a Stroopwafel you put it on your coffee mug to warm it up it is sort of how you eat these it is sort of a tradition like dipping cookies in milk
AAAAHHHHHH DAMIEN! Thanks for the P’cola shout out!!! 😊
see, if you accidentally step in your standard snapping wire mousetrap you get a bit of an owie, but a revolver? you wake up for a piss at night and next thing you know a surgeon is taking your leg.
i use empty icebreakers containers as phone stands
