My father just bought a glock recently. This 4 minute video will save me hours trying to teach him. Thank you for being quick and concise. Nothing worse than a video wasting time.
As a newbie when it comes to glocks (and handguns in general) this is the best disassemble video I've seen yet. Looks like something that was made just the other day but it's actually from 2009. Now it's time to clean this newly bought glock of mine!
what glock'd you get? also I can confirm this video is well made. Mad respect for a video from 2009. Only the dry firing info was wrong. It's only really damaging for rimfire guns because their pins have to hit softer metals so they are more prone to damage and cause misfire. Any other, especially newer gun will not get damaged any bit by dry firing.
Glocks are not hard to clean or service. The main points are where the barrel contacts the slide. A dab of CLP or oil on the sear. Do NOT 🚫 put solvents or oil all over firing pin, hole area. Using lead free ammunition reduces cleaning & is safer for the 🌍. To add a light coat of CLP or gun oil prior to any range use, practice is a smart idea. It will allow the Glock to work smooth & it will speed up any cleaning. If the Glock & ammunition gets wet, under water. Throw it out, 🗑. Clean & oil your Glock then get brand new ammunition.
"Dry firing is typically bad for a gun..." Yeah if it's a 100 year old revolver "....but it wont be a problem for glock becuase of the quality manufacturing." Wew, lad.
OMG This makes it so simple to understand. Loved the colored blinking parts. This is just so much clearer than other UA-cam videos showing the same thing. Thank you from a gun novice whose Glock badly needs a cleaning.
Another tip if you are having trouble getting the slide back on any gen 4 Glock DO NOT force it. You gotta push that lil button on the back of the slide and push the firing pin forward or it won’t go back on . To fix this from happening next time you take it apart , point your gen 4 Glock downwards when removing the upper (slide)
Wow, thank you sir for this vid. I can tell it must have taken plenty of time to make. Congrats on the quality. It really helped me out and it is flawless animation.
All firearms should come with an instructional DVD of your videos. I really hope Magpul or KAC sees this and puts you on their payroll. Cold Steel love 3D graphics, you should send them a demo reel bro, you have major skills. These instructions are noob-proof. Nice work.
Wow, great work at the animation and all that stuff :D I tried my hand at 3d modeling for some time, but I never really got the hang of it. If I had only had this video as an inspiration :)
God bless you, and this short succinct instructional video. I jus bought a Glock after several years apart. You've spared me from many tacti-cool warriors in dark glasses.
Easiest way to remove the recoil spring is to move the rear of the spring, part with the hole, to the left or right which will pop the spring out of it's place. Just helping

@@enemroy I mean it's a pistol. so yeah. You should be able to take apart just about any pistol you've taken apart at least once, it's not that hard. Ima actually try and put my pistol together blind, dass a good idea haha Edit: Took me 55 seconds to fully take apart my pistol, put my hands behind my back (in order to loose contact to any parts) and then put the pistol back together. Noice challenge.
Top rate video. Very concise. Applies to all Glocks except for maybe a G18. We have the G26 and the G21. No other semi auto in the Glock price range even comes close. The low bore center of gravity aids tremendously in reducing muzzle flip.
Wow! I had no idea this video actually helped someone decide on a pistol! I shot the same G20 I used for reference. It's a really nice and accurate pistol. Too bad it's really beefy and 10mm rounds are super expensive. This animation was only intended for educational (not commercial) purposes and will likely just stay that way. Thanks for the compliment though. I hope you're enjoying your G20!

“Won’t be a problem for Glock”? I isn’t a problem for any center fire unless the pin is held in by a little drop if super glue.
I had the same thought.. welcome to the future! Dry fire is encouraged for striker fired guns!
