next you should do a 30 day challenge that’s like a rainbow island so 10 colours and they all have sections like red blue etc

and maybe there would be 1 villager assigned to each color section because theres 10 villagers in total you can have on your island

I’m loving your single color island challenge but I’d love to see another challenge like this but in the style of crossing minute’s diy only island which is similar to ur no bells island (rewatching that rn too lol) but I had some ideas for adding in some more flexibility:
- The ability to spend bells you’ve earned to upgrade your home, build or destroy bridges and inclines, and move houses.
- Nintendo online is allowed for custom designs and access to FREE treasure islands for nook miles tickets, diys and/or materials (but no bells, items, dreamie villagers or clothes).
- Allowed non-diy decor items include- wallpaper and rugs from hhp only after it is speed run or Sahara after harv’s island is unlocked, art (paintings or sculptures), assessed fossils, trash cans and crops.
- All bells need to be earned but can be used to buy what you have access to that follows the rules (increased storage, ables sisters for clothes, items at nooks cranny that would help you craft, tools, or customization kits, and buying anything at harv’s island but only if it is fully unlocked).
- Anything that can be placed with a custom design can be considered purchase-able items you can diy, ex: simple panels and umbrellas, do count as items you are diy’ing as long as you use a custom design on it.
- Final villagers must come from a list you make of dreamies for your theme of choice, with a max of 50 to choose from. No campsite villagers allowed and you must have no villagers in starter homes by day 30. (So either make sure to villager hunt for all your villagers and say goodbye to ur starters or do hhp if you got very lucky with your starter villagers)
- You CAN use happy home paradise but must thoughtfully design vacation homes for at least 5 of the villagers on your main island even if they are not on your dreamie list before you can go ahead with an actual speed run. You are unable to purchase anything using poki in hhp until you have finished a speed run. You can replace a villager later even you did a vacation home for them so this isn’t effected by luck on starters.
- Your house, museum and nooks cranny should all be fully upgraded. Brewster is required for museum to be considered fully upgraded.
- House interior should be decorated enough to receive an S tier score.
- Island must be 5 stars by the end of day 30.
- Time travel is allowed as always.
Some of these rules are similar to crossing minutes and some definitely are not lol but I want to see this so much because I feel like this is both flexible enough to make a gorgeous filled out island but also provides lots of challenge since it has you “earning” your island through crafting and having to make money, gives longer villager hunts, etc… and even without Nintendo online and treasure islands (used for the time crunch aspect), others can actually use these rules too to make an island just through playing. Some of the stuff can be skipped if you think it’s unneeded for the theme (like unlocking harvs island or doing hhp) but if you do it, there’s still an aspect of not doing it the easiest way which gives us content and gives you choices to make on how to best manage your time.

do you NEED to put down sand if youre going to put water on the same spot….
the in-game sand path shows up on the map, the custom design water path does not show on the map. i just think it makes the island map look so much better if it is all covered in the in-game pathing.
