For me, one of the most attractive aspects of this system is having a magnetic lens cap. No more cap popping off and hitting me in the face. But you say you can’t have a filter on with the cap? Have you looked at the Kase system - I wonder how they’re different.
That's super fair, to be honest I feel like magnetic lens caps should have been standard by now 😅 So you can, but you are basically stacking magnets on metal, so the cap sticks to the filter stronger than the filter sticks to the lens, so when you take the cap off more often then not the filter unfortunately comes off with it. I haven't tried the Kase system yet however I really would be interested in doing so doing so!
only if the plate is there and there is no filter on, I lost my cap a while back while it was attached to a filter on the lens, it simply fell off and I didn't notice
I need filter. The need is very felt on summer

Does the magnetic lens cap work without a vnd base in the part that’s threaded to the camera? Or does it only magnetize when there are base in there?

Is it possible to add their magnetic ND1000 filter on top?
Based on what I have read on their site I believe so, but have have no experience with using their ND1000 so I can’t say yes or no definitively
why you dont speak aboute X effect? is not important?
because of the hard stops it's a non-issue, unless you use it outside those intended ranges you won't encounter any weird polarization
@@ShaneBethlehem The video was great. thank you. Finally, do you recommend this product or Kit NiSi SWIFT VND ?
I have trouble choosing
Unfortunately, I have no familiarity with the NiSi kit so I can’t really get a good opinion on the topic 😞
