  • In this video I show you how I painted my Continental Line Infantry to a good table top standard. At the end I do a short showcase on what I have done so far.

    Epic painting interlude music. :) Great tutorial. I've seen this period popping up a lot recently and I'm getting intrigued.

    Always good to see how other people paint. Battle report getting closer. Somebody else mentioned using soft tone instead of Agrax, I shall have to try it.

    Nice, these look great on the table ranked up, without too much delay in the painting

    Great video

      Steve Gusky thanks Steve. I was debating on basing them all on round bases then decided to just use the bases they came with. They are an odd size so I decided to make my own movement trays.

    There was a tiny white ribbon on the hat this marked the Franco-American Alliance. I know as I served in an American AWI re-enactment unit and a French AWI re-enactment unit

    Alright another good painting guide deal...awesome! I've been wanting to get in AWI....but, I have vested huge into the F&IW...so between Napoleonic's and F&IW, these are the two periods playing with SP2. How do you like SP2? Played many games? Will you being a How-To vid for the system? Will Andre be making an appearance? Haven't heard from him in awhile. Finally. good to see different techniques in painting. I always dred painting white this and white that on regular line troops. It gets better once you get those skirmish-y and Indian troops.

      redmist1122 I almost went F+IW but the AWI guys we’re easier to find. Andre and I have played a few game of SP. we really enjoy it. Has that Lard flavor we like 😄. We should be doing our first official SP battle this Friday as my initial forces are painted. It will be a small game though obviously. As the forces grow and we get better with the rules we will do a how to play video.

      I got hooked on the F&IW after the latest release of the movie Last of Mohicans w/Daniel Day Lewis and the classic The Northwest Passage. Read the shit out of Fort William Henry, then the whole war and its political issues. The first long lasting rule system I used was from Iron Ivan called, "This Very Ground". It worked well. But, SP2 came along...man what a BIG improvement from the first version. Plus Big Rich loaded the rules with five different period army lists...so that was an easy decision to start using. I was ready to leep into AWI after the AMC series, Turn, Washington's Spies. Looking forward to your AWI games. Still a fan-boy of Robert Rogers.

    Sweet, had no concern about how to paint these guys. Just clicked hoping you would say you are going to do Sharp Practice. My night is made... well, it was already a great night, but another good point to it.

      However (bearing in mind that I do not have Sharp Practice), won't you need more than a box each for your forces?

    • @ostrowulf
      @ostrowulf 6 років тому

      Having watched through now I see the answer is yes you need more.

    Oh boy! Sure wish you would have listed those paints but I’ll just rewind a bunch. I tried for days to find this video!! Paints are pricey and just want paints to do My 1st set of revolutionaries. Glad you made this video. I wasn’t digging the speed paint versions I’ve seen.

    Please where did you buy the movement trays?

    • @tabletopcp
      @tabletopcp  9 місяців тому

      I made them myself. Pretty easy. Got some bass wood flat pieces for the bottom and glued some thin square shaped pieces to the edges
