I bought a basil from Publix and planted it (scratch that, I didn’t even plant it - I sent the girls out to plant it). But I was so proud that I had TWO edible plants in my backyard! But I’m pretty sure we killed it picking all the leaves to make pizza… But we tried! Love your edible yard!
Ella said your everglades tomatoes are growing again! Ours didn't reseed, would love to get a tomato from you to plant! I bet the pizza was delicious! Totally worth the sacrifice
@@IslandsnHighlandsthey are! They’ll take over the garden and then look like they’re dead, and then a couple months later they spring back up! There’s actually a few small ones, too. I’ll dig up one of the smaller ones and bring it over!
One thing I learned from cuttings is that never throw the water out except if you see algae in the water cause already the water contains rooting hormones the the plant need to produce roots

Interesting!
where can we buy the African blue basil plant to grow ?
We found ours at a local nursery called Banana River Yard-but if you join Facebook plant swapping groups I bet you could trade someone a cutting!
