Hey everyone! Can you believe that it's already been one whole year since my first video?! I can't. So, to celebrate, I've prepared a special remix! I've been wanting to remix Great Canyon for a second time, and now was the perfect time! I've put heaps of effort into this one, so please enjoy!
To be honest, I would have really loved to mark 1 year with a re-remix of the first remix on this channel, The Lament of Falling Stars, but I guess it didn't really happen. I had a great idea for a second remix of Great Canyon and it was too good an opportunity to miss; really, it just so happens to be done around this time! But, it does show how far I've come as a remixer and what I've learnt this past year!
So, in relation to the track, it's pretty interesting. I had an idea for another remix of Great Canyon and it just came out! So the idea was blending eastern music with more modern sounds, and I'm pretty sure I've got that down pat. As stated previously, I love eastern sounds and it's really fun to work with them. After the intro though, the track is kinda generic progressive house (?). This blending of styles is very similar to my remix of Kay's theme, and is inspired by the many Touhou remixes I listen to. Of course, I decided to change up the time signature of the original, from 6/8 to 4/4, but I also did this to call back to my first remix of Great Canyon. I've even borrowed the main rhythms and melodies from it! Nothing else that significant in regards to composition, other than the fact that I changed up a lot of the original's melodies. Still, it's kinda recognisable as Great Canyon.
I cannot believe it's already been one whole year since I started this thing, I still feel like a newbie! I really wish I could've done something a little more special, but oh well... I really want to thank everyone for all of the support you've given throughout our time together, and here's to even more content to come! I bet Xatu in PMD was just a sham. The reason it did not respond to you in time wasn't because it was "mystically gazing into the sun while looking into the future" or anything, I bet it just had secretly been listening to this remix with a pair of earphones.

Brine Cave is the dungeon I love exploring the most! There's just something about the atmosphere that makes me just feel good inside. And Brine Cave's music is just the *best*.

As for the question, my favorite dungeon to explore is Ancient Barrow. It was really magical exploring a scary place as five kids, and the music gave off this sense of fear, urgency, and heroism.

Congrats on one year of remixing! You're a very talented remixer, and I listen to your remixes all the time. I recently went on an optional class trip, and whenever we were travelling, I'd always put in my headphones and listen to remixes of yours, and some of other remixers. Whenever a track comes on I'm always able to tell what track it is just from the intro. Often times I listen to remixes I can play along to on guitar, or find things in remixes to add to my own playing of the track on guitar. This track is one I'll try to learn to play guitar to, and I'm looking forward to learning the track. You're great at what you do, you just keep getting better. Here's to another great year of beautiful music.

Thanks, but what recent Splatoon remix? Because the last one I did was of Calamari Inkantation and that was ages ago. If anything, I would say it resembles my remix of Kay's theme.

I am going to use this theme in my pokerole Mystery Dungeon campaign. (Its like DnD but PMD style). Likely won't be the only remix by Sheddy I use for my campaign. I feel like they are so good they deserve to be used in games. So why not tabletop campaigns?

Where using their powers of fortune telling they will find the way to defy fate and break a terrible curse. And thus the party must climb up Ho-oh's tower to revive the cursed Meowstic as she breaths her last.

I do intend to re-visit The Lament of Falling Stars. Whether it be a re-remix or just a remastering, I'm not sure, but I definitely want to tackle it again!
