- Dijonay Jones (voiced by Karen Malina White, Bresha Webb as an adult in "When You Wish Upon a Roker"): Penny's selfish, untrustworthy yet enthusiastic and caring best friend. She had an obsessive crush on Sticky in The Proud Family. She also loves to gossip and has gotten Penny in trouble many times. Eventually, Penny gets fed up with Dijonay mistreating her, and ultimately loses her trust in her, though they still remain friends. Dijonay's name is a pun on the name of Best Foods/Hellmann's Dijonnaise, and she has ten younger siblings all named after spices, seasonings, and condiments. She later has a crush on KG after Sticky's family moves away.
She’s still that one backstabbing friend from the original.

Dijonay really reminded me why I never liked her in the original. Hell, I hate her more than ever after the shit she pulled with Maya and Kareem. To make matters worse, not only does she feel zero guilt or shame, she doesn’t learn a damn thing.
So what? We can't have perfect characters all the time. Besides, changing the core of her characters to be something different would change the whole dynamic of the original. I like that Penny has diverse friends - even frenemies. It shows that you don't have to stick around like minded people which is why USA is so polarized

Yes, Dijonay has her moments where she is a good friend to Penny and others while sometimes she only cares about herself. Yes, that is regular in today's standards, but the reason why people are upset about it is because she never learns her lesson. It's not going to change the dynamic of the original if she gained character development, if anything that's what's supposed to happen since their older. You can't have your cake and eat it too, either she's nice and friends with them or she's stuck up and rude, so I don't see what got your head wrapped around that.

She wasn’t. The voice actress for Dijonay described her as a good friend and a strong individual who speaks her mind and says that we could all be a little bit more like her. The fact that they say that makes me think they either have someone in their lives like her and have been conditioned to think it’s normal or that they’re just as bad as her. 😐

She makes up for it by not snitching on everyone to the cops. But Dijonay wasn't the problem it's that the parents (or just the dads) are pretty homophobic and they passed some of their ideas to their kids (except Penny of course)
