I have just discovered this show and Gertrude Berg. She exudes a warmth of heart and character that we could all take a lesson from...the world would be a nicer place with such people now wouldn't it?
Myra was played by Marian Sweet, reprising her role from The Goldbergs radio show. Before that, Miss Sweet was one of several actresses who played The Dragon Lady on the radio serial, Terry and the Pirates (late 1930s-late1940s), which was based on a comic strip.
