Found this by accident and was going to comment that it sounds like someone's writing project, etc with the very specific instructions and citations. Very informative, though! Link your band!
Do you know how broken my brain was when I found out the the Midwest didn't just stop at the north border of Montana? I didn't know that Saskatchewan existed i thought you were all french
You have the same guitar strap that my dad gave me all those years ago also remember that midwest emo riffs can be written in standard its just a little more difficult in my opinion
that riff you wrote sounds super familliar... are you by chance in lights strung like stars? Edit: oh shit you are a quick google search just got that figured out for me lmao that's sick, I'm from Indiana as well :) The situation is not equal is one of my top played songs, hope i can see you guys live some time! (come to riot room!)
thanks homie, playing our first show at some frat in west laf on december 4th, but yes we are in contact with the squad at riot room. would love to play there soon :)
all guitars would work tbh but the staples of midwest emo are fender telecasters or something else with single coil pickups, but really any guitar would work, go with whatever u personally like sound wise :)
Honestly I don't know much about the hardware side of guitars, but whatever is within your budget, has decent wiring, and isn't a pain when changing strings. My Ibanez has treated me very well and I've had it since 2014. Don't forget to choose whatever looks cool to you :)
This has some serious 2008 tutorial vibes, awesome!
Kinda fits with the midwest emo aesthetic
lol fr idk why
I was thinking this as soon as I saw the thumbnail. Then I saw it was 9 months ago and not 9 years lmao
@@kelkiiiiI feel like it was a repost. this video looks older than two years ago. way older.
@@welcometobangkok8220cited a source from 2018, so no
Someone give this man extra credit for the excellent citation
What are you all doing here this is literally my final project for intro to speech
Hahaha seriously?
I've been binging twinkle guitar riffs recently and this came up. Great playing btw
@@chrismaghintay good to know youtube likes the mediocre guitar guide in 144p
I thought so because we just did this and it seemed like the examples we watched

Imagine being such a chad that a school project ends up blowing up on yt cuz on the priceless gems u dropping
This is so Midwest that it wears tucked in tshirts and says goodbye at the door for half an hour
That's like THE most humble and informative intro I've ever seen, and I've been on UA-cam since the early days in 07.
bro the shitty camera fits so perfect idk why i love it!!
This is so Midwest it brought a casserole for the whole comments section.
I feel like this was made in 2007 and was just now posted
I learned so much in 5 mins, so good!! I can finally be a midwest emo Canadian 🍁

man pleasee can you make a tutorial to play your riff i’m a big fan of it’s a lot but what choice do i have and i really want to play it
man looks like he's in a very underground dark brutal guttural death metal band and he's talking about how to create a midwest emo song
There’s a bolt thrower shirt pinned up on the wall behind me, definitely have made some guttural dm before ;)
Any guitars u’d recommend?
