Happy to see you got this! Really really love the blue cart. Personally, I think it's a nice contrast to the classic gray of the original. Thanks for the inboxing and congrats on a great pickup!!
Noooo! That sucks your box didnt get packaged well. That blue cartridge is really nice Feral. Yeah, I got my Mega Man X copy already. This looks like a good one to get as well.
When the box it was shipped in arrived I was worried it was going to be even worse. Fair trade off of luck though. I'll take a little crumple action on the back of the box in exchange for randomly getting a blue cartridge. I guess the luck balanced out on this one!
Thanks Nimbus! Always fun to share Christmas memories. I enjoyed your segment too. I only got about halfway through Thousand Year Door back in the day on the GameCube. Excited to take care of some unfinished business with the upcoming remaster 😺🔥
@@tormentridden I was surprised myself. I took a half day from work and sat there refreshing until it went live. Keep an eye out, maybe they'll do it again this year
Can you believe it? Three decades since the release of Mega Man X! I still remember the bitterly cold night back in January 1994 when we went out to get it at Wal-Mart. Awesome times!
After playing the MSU version of this game, after never really feeling like finishing the original, and hearing how great the music sounds with real instruments, I wouldn't even want this cart no matter how cool it all is.
Interesting.. I haven't heard of the MSU version. I'll have to check that out, sounds like a cool idea to add real instruments to the music. Thanks for letting me know about it.
It was and is an actual weapon in the game. You have to find all armor upgrades, all life-ups, all subtanks and beat all the mavericks up to Sigma. Then, I believe you have to play Armored Armadillo's stage 8 or 9 times, and jump up above the boss door. On the 9th time, there would be a final capsule. It shows Dr. Light in a Ryu-style outfit and jumping in allows you to do the Hadouken (quarter circle motion required). It is a one hit kill to everything except multi-stage boss fights. But it does OHKill any boss.
As a collector I totally get that, but the feral side of this inferno is curious like a cat and I have to know what is inside! I'm glad I did. I looove all the goodies inside and especially the cartridge. Plus I never plan on selling it, so I'm not too concerned on the value side of things. I hope you can secure one, last I checked they still have some in stock.
@@FeralInferno dont blame you. had a couple things that werent supposed to be opened, lol. too much debt from reckless "midlife" spending... also car troubles. also, Grats! that blue cart is slick.
@@FeralInferno hahah smart move. I meant the game didn’t come with a fire warning, Apparently the street fighter 2 ones they made came with warning saying it could make the snes catch fire.
@@Kris-TheChupacabraSlayer hahaha... no Yoga Flame coming from this cartridge! I do remember hearing about that with the SF carts. Luckily I think these Mega Man X carts are safe, I don't recall seeing any spontaneous combustion or meltdown warnings on the packaging. But if the next video you see of me has a burnt to crisp gameroom, we'll know who to blame lol

Limited to only 1000?
Man, that's super limited.
The ultimate collector's edition. 👊
Yessir! Only a 1,000 of these exist. So glad to have had the luck of the draw and got the blue one! 💙

Thanks, I was mega happy to get the blue! Great timing with the comment. Another very special edition JUST arrived in the mail! 😺🔥
@@FeralInfernoohhhh can't wait to see it!
Great pickup, my friend! iam8bit did a good job putting that all together. Hopefully we'll get more classic Mega Man content from them!
Thanks man! Now I am tempted to pickup the Mega Man 2 cartridge they did! Haha
Love that intro! Very cool bro!💪
Thanks man! I appreciate that 😺🔥
It's wild to think it's been 30 years and 23 of those Megaman Volnutt has been stuck on the moon.
I mean.. the elder of Mysidia should at least let someone borrow the Lunar Whale to go pickup Volnutt!
What an awesome addition to your collection! Congrats on getting that blue cartridge!
Thanks! This was a fun unboxing not knowing what we were going to get!
Awesome unboxing! Such a great pickup! I still have my SNES copies of MMX and MMX2. I may need to grab this edition to join them! 😁
Thanks Shelly! This would look nice next to the other X games. I just checked and surprisingly, it looks like Iam8Bit still has some left 😺🔥

@@FeralInferno Yes absolutely! Can't wait for the remake, it's gonna be glorious!!
This blue version used is still worth about $350 I can't believe this had a black Friday sale and I missed it :(

MMX is such a great game and I'm loving the presentation in this but ouch, 30 years!? My old is kicking in....

Oh yeah!
That blue is just glorious!!!🔥🔥
So blue, so translucent, so glow-in-the-dark!!
I also got the glow in the dark limited edition console
Nice!! It is a real beaut!
Sorry about the damage. So super cool! 👍👍
We got the blue so it's all good!
thanks for reminding me i brought this to.
Oh nice, have you opened yours up yet or are you keeping it sealed?
Nice pick up mate! Shame about the damage

Yes you did, from the TMNT stream! Glad I filmed this as it was so awesome seeing it was blue one!
I love that the music became Sigma Stage 1 when we got to the cartridge.
@@justint881 same here. One of the toughest things about this video was selecting the music. Sooo many good tracks to choose from.

No, I always beat Chill Penguin's stage first so I never have to worry about the fire elements of Flame Mammoth's stage 😏
