I think your title is misleading.... you are not wanting to leave Germany... you are only comparing the two countries... I think growing up in India we have been programmed from childhood thanks to Hindi and English movies that the US is a great place.... In my opinion the only advantage that the US has that it's an English speaking country...On the other side if Germany was an English speaking country just imagine the number of people moving to Germany... It's sometimes a blessing that it's not an English speaking country....

I moved from Germany to the US and never regret the decision. The weather is nice and most importantly the people are nice and friendly, if you're in IT then really good paying jobs , I love it overall

Well said, people need to realize that the H1B visa process for USA is very torturous and your life is spent continuously maintaining status, extensions etc. Even visiting India is always problematic with visa stamping etc. and it's getting saturated with time as everyone wants to come here. USA medical system/healthcare is very expensive even after buying a good insurance. Citizenship in USA is a dream as your stay is not considered. When your company applies starts the clock and you are tied to the employer .. 15 years are spent just to get PR.
If you're really moving to the USA from Germany i think you're making a mistake
German cities consistently rank in the best cities to live and work in the entire world,you want to leave that and move to the USA who's cities don't even make top 20?

You have forgotten the most important point - Safety. There are many mass shootings in the US in schools, grocery stores, theatres, malls etc. which you will not find in Germany. Other English speaking countries are also not as safe as Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the Nordic countries. Safety and health care are the top priorities for living a good quality of life. Also, the small percentage of people who succeed in jobs in English speaking countries are usually the ones who speak proper English without a thick accent and people who are light skinned. Almost all Indian children (including the ones that moved when they were young) in the US and other English speaking countries can only speak English. They are embarrassed to speak to family members in their language and so they either forget the language if they had learnt it when they were young or never learn the language at all. This is a sign of low self esteem. Being multilingual is better as it broadens your horizon and increases brain power. Doctors say that people who are multilingual do not suffer from Alzheimer and dementia.

Really silly to say German language is a drawback. Indians should come out of the delusion that all white people know and speak english. This is as flawed logic as saying all Indians speak and know hindi.
It is because of such people and mentality that Indians struggle overseas especially in EU. Learn to respect the language of the land. Be thankful that Germany is offering free education and some courses in English.

True. US does have a lot of opportunities and higher salary ceiling ( almost 40% more for the same job) because of the english language but germany is still good. I don’t understand how much money is enough for a person.

@@abhishekchandrappa5384 i mean that depends on the individual. And to be really honest with you , this “expensive healthcare system” in us is a bit of a myth. When someone gets a job in us, the company gives 401k which actually has healthcare allowance. If u are talking just in terms of money, u do save more in usa as compared to EU even after everything. I will start a data scientist job in EU in 2 months (at around 60k) but i can get 100-110k for doing the same thing in US. EU has a good life but the salaries here cant compete at all. In EU, 110k euros is executive level salaries in data science whereas it is fresher to mid level in US.
