  • Perfect for a quick lunch, a cozy dinner, or a fun snack, this Pizza Grilled Cheese Sandwich is guaranteed to become your new favorite. This easy-to-follow recipe and video will guide you through creating a cheesy pepperoni masterpiece that combines the best of both worlds: gooey melted cheese, pepperoni and savory pizza flavors, all packed between two slices of perfectly toasted bread. Give it a try today!
    Ingredients:
    1. 2 Bread slices of choice (I used sourdough)
    2. Pizza sauce
    3. Pizza blend shredded cheese
    4. Black olives
    5. Pepperoni slices
Feel free to use any toppings of your choice! Have fun creating.
    Instructions:
    1. Start out by preheating your griddle to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or use a skillet.
    2. Toast the inside of 2 slices of bread, no need to use butter or fat yet.
    3. After toasting the inside of the bread, apply butter or mayo on the outside of the bread.
    4. Apply the sauce to the toasted side of the bread
    5. Add the black olives
    6. Now spread the first cheese layer
    7. Place the pepperonis on top of the cheese
    8. Add the second layer of cheese
9.Apply the last layer of pizza sauce on the toasted side of the other slice of bread
    10. Put that slice of bread on top of the sandwich and prepare to grill the sandwich on the already heated griddle or skillet.
Toast one side at a time for 2-3 minutes making sure not to overly toast the bread. You can achieve a consistent toasting by flipping the sandwich one side to the other every couple of minutes until the cheese is fully melted. Let the sandwich rest for a couple of minutes before cutting in two. This will help the cheese fully melt and will make the cheese extra gooey. If you have extra pizza sauce left over, you can use this as a dipping sauce if you like. Enjoy!

Zero flop, looks heavy but light on it's feet like a defensive line back. This is definitely my style spider. Little tang, 8.2? I think that's a fair score. Where are we?

Thank you for watching the video. I will take an 8.2 haha. Once you make the sandwich and taste it, you may change that. Thank you for the positive comment. I am in Ohio if that is what you are asking.

Technique is EVERYTHING. You can have the best ingredients but if you don't understand the procedure it's not going to turn out the way it should. I'm assuming that's a beautiful cast iron Dutch Oven on your back burner. I would have used the dome lid for a few mins to melt the cheese. I've made this and it is good but this time I'll try the mayo. BTW I own 22 pieces of cast iron cookware, my late husband claimed this is the reason he never raised a hand to me. LOL Thank you Eric. Excellent demo. :o)

I agree with the technique thing. It is very important. Yes that is a cast iron pot on the burner. When I seen it, I had to have it because it was so cool haha. I have so much cast iron and I can’t help but to buy more of the old classics when I find them. I usually restore certain skillets and give them to people I know will use them and care for them properly. Thank you for the great compliments and humor. They have definitely kept me smiling! Thank you for watching!

are there any options to use something other than mayonnaise? olive oil butter?

    • @CookitSimplewithEric
      @CookitSimplewithEric  Місяць тому

Thank you for watching! You can use any kind of fat for this or nothing at all. As you see, my go to is Mayo. Be creative and let me know what you all use. Enjoy!

Why? Why do you shove political garbage into every normal thing that has nothing to do with joining a cult?
You don’t have to s#*t on others to say something decent and honorable.
