I absolutely admire her designs! They are so beautiful! If I had the money, I would wear some of them in my daily life. The rest of them for events. I would love to have an internship in her label. She is my ideal in design.
You can establish your own line. Original haute couture is highly missed and still in high demand till today!!

I recently sent several of these runway shows to my 21 year old daughter and told her that if ever i win lottery or somehow come up with a substantial amount of money, i would buy her ANY DESIGN, ANY PARTICULAR DESIGNER OF HER CHOICE & NO LIMIT ON AMOUNT OF MONEY TO SPEND for her & myself to have matching gowns to go shop at Walmart on weekends.... Just toown any single item from Iris' collections, from loyhing to shoes to jewelry, would be a privelage and honor.... like a true artists' work of art

These clothes are works of art that move. I have never seen anything like this in my life and I've seen quite a few fashion shows. Ms Herpen is 30 years ahead of her time. Brilliant!
Beyond iconic her stuff is basically with all respect alien fuckin futuristic fashion freaking gorgeous
She uses line so nice making everything liquid when in motion.

That's called human canvas. There are exhibitions in many places where models stand for hours in awkward positions with paintings drawn over them. Please don't make fun of real art. Iris is one of the very few original artists left in this era.
Besides the extraterrestrial beauty of the dresses, let us also appreciate them shoes! Look at those! Wear those and you'd be eternally cool. I just wish I have the money and the means to reach her. Ugh.

This dress is inspired by cicadas. The clothes with a stroke on the transparent wing were a hint.
That is not all. 50 times the size of a cicada in a microscope, so that nothing is missing from a cicada. It is as good as it looks That woman lying there symbolizes the process of cicada's hidden growth. As a caterpillar becomes a fire and an adult caused by gestation, it is seen as an emergency model step with the clothing of a week's wings.
Two points to make here:
1. I effing love Iris; she’s the only fashion designer currently innovating in the artist’s tradition of McQueen, Gaultier, Coco, Givenchy, Dior... back in their day they were revolutionary, not just as luxe and elite as possible.
2. Can we quit with this single dated body type now? Oh my god how disappointing.
What do you suggest: whale watching?
I totally agree - she has amazing creative vision -but damn these girls look anorexic! So sad she is perpetuating the myth that real women don’t eat - a lot the fashion industry has made some great strides forward but this doesn’t help.
Love her work... but how/young are these models?

Lots of comments regarding the Terror of "stick thin /must be ill" models.A ,the fall and drape of garments just look better on thin forms .B ,you are supposed to be focused on the garment ,not a "sexy model"
C,young woman and people should be thin.We have decided to take harmful actions such as,an old size 10 is a new size 8 .All done so people can feel better about not being larger .We have an awful food industry and as a result ,we are getting fatter .Case in point .Look to any country like India and the middle East.No western produced food available previously,they were all thin.Now a few years in ,on having items like Mac Donalds and western chains and products.They are all hugely fat and diabetic.We should be focused on health and thin is healthy.
Not impressed at all, models are so so skinny, very unhealthy looking, their literally dragging those heavy shoes...look like tall boys. If you want people to buy your clothes put real bodies on them🙄
Eat less, exercise more. Ban burger kings and macdonalds. You can be skinny too!
