Im a Kiwi living in northern Spain. Valencia IS lovely but, believe me, there are many lovely cities and towns, on the coast and inland, where building a wonderful life is not difficult to do.
Such a great video! Valencia is on our list of places we would like to visit for a month so thanks for breaking down the cost for each category. Subscribed to your channel and look forward to future adventures in your travels!
Valencia is my favorite city in Spain! I was there in March for Las Fallss and everyone was in a great mood! I appreciate the cost breakdown to live there as that is my goal! 1st time to see your channel and it is great! I subscribed right away!
I recommend for your telecommunications, DIGI, 3€ or 5€ for mobile flat rate with free roaming all over Europe and other places, and 15€ for the fiber internet, your total fee can be 23 - 25 €. Some other local companies have offers very similar in price, but this is the cheaper one. For non-covered destinations in free roaming, then the eSim is convenient.
Great video and the most realistic expat cost of living! We are moving to Valencia next June for about 2 years. We bought an apartment in the arracapins area and my son will be attending private British school in Valencia. I estimated $5500 for the 3 of us per month. See you in Valencia next year !
Keep in mind that the more people come to Spain, the higher the rental prices will be. It is advisable to own or rent a motorhome. I think it is more profitable and you can go to many places without worrying about renting a flat. There are people who are doing it. Regards.
We like the heat so it's not intolerable for us but you can get days in July and August reaching high 30 degrees (Celcius) in the afternoon. We usually avoided being outside for a few hours on those days and then the evenings are lovely and warm.
@@Ilar-en7lg good point. I went to a map after your comment. I actually thought it was southern Spain, but I was wrong about that and the summer temperatures. Thanks.
@@worldobserver3515 Hi yes, but what I meant is that Spain is a european country so temperatures are never too extreme. The US has regions with much more extreme temperatures.
@@judymckee5992 I'm sorry, but it's how it is. If you want to live in a country, you have to learn the language. And there are many people who learn the language of the country they live in, so that sad excuse that not many people are linguists is simply not true.
These kind of videos do not help us the locals, with a rent market that is already out of any sense. You can come here, promote to make the houses buying and renting prices to pump up, while you get american salary and we cannot even go to work to the US. What a shame, what a shit.
Another reason to move to other EU countries with higher salaries like France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and many more. Foreign nationals can only stay and travel for 90 days unless you secure a golden visa, digital nomad, etc.

I live in a small fishing village in the Castellón región

Those AirBnBs prices are insanely high!! Such a rip off for lodging, in such an otherwise reasonably priced Spanish city.
They’re about to be banned
Each AIRBNB is one less home for the Spanish and on top of that you complain that it is expensive? Stingy.
@@raymondfurgason8959 Exactly
Living in Spain has many good things, but keep in mind that you have to learn Spanish and that bureaucratic procedures are hell.
Help !!!!
The prices you mentioned are quite high. As an average European citizen, I would not be willing or able to afford to pay such high prices as you did.
That's the thing, that the average American is willing to pay for it while we poor Europeans are forced not to live in our hometowns anymore.
I lived there for 1 1/2 years, it is nice but u need to speak spanish. I don't so I move on.
Having to speak spanish in Spain? Wow, what will be next? Having to speak english in the United Kingdom? French in France? Woww...

15000 euros a month, if not your a poor beggar.
