I think I left the clips on for at least 20-30 minutes each time I added more glue.

is this a truss bridge?
Yes it is, of sorts. It's not a typical truss, but it works the same way.
This is a truss because it uses triangles and it is a beam bridge.
It is an I-beam bridge to be exact.
