wow, I have yet to find such a good explaination of fire patinas, been using this a lot for the last years, but love how you explain your technique, definitely giving this techjnique you do a try, your results are amazing! I just favrorited your Etsy page, and sorry to see you had a medical issue, hope you a speedy recovery.
Excellent explanation, and you've inspired me today! There seem to be a lot of opinions about protecting the copper once the final piece is finished. After looking at your Etsy store and following you on fb, I believe you are a true pro, and I'm wondering what you use. In the video, you mentioned a polymer clear coat. Which one do you use? Thanks in advance, and a great job on this video
You're amazing, you have mastered this cool art!! I fire paint pennies, then I hand them out to strangers I meet. Family gets ones with their Birthday year 😂💞🇺🇸✝️

@@thegypsyphoenix1738 I was confused because the hoses looked like they were oxy acetlyne rated. I'm awaiting the rig I ordered in the mail and I'm concerned my acetlyne hoses will not work well for the propane.
@@The_Conqueeftador I'm not surprised at your confusion. I actually don't know as much about welding supplies as you seem to know and this set up could very likely be intended for acetylene, because the man that I learned from had originally invented the process using acetylene, but then switched to propane because it is cleaner, cooler and cheaper.
That was AMAZING!! I started making copper jewelry a few years ago, when I was homeless, from scrap copper I would find while 'diving'. I love anadizing copper, the colors can be so pretty, but I haven't been able to master always getting the colors I'm trying to achieve. I use a cigar torch with a 2" flame and could you tell me what the order in colors is or a chart showing the thickness of copper wiring and how long you heat it for, to obtain a particular color patina? I am most appreciative of any information that you could provide me regarding these things. Thank you!!
New sub here from Spokane Valley Wa, I just happened to receive a 2"×5" copper bookmark, that my neice left in a book she gave me,so I don't know if I will add copper painting to my maulty media projects, but I am looking forward to trying this out
THANK YOU!!! finally a video with some good explanation, ive been struggling with flame painting an youve really helped. im working on getting a real deep red oxide, any ideas ma'am?
I think you are the best flame painter I have seen and I appreciate the clear explanation as you work.

Thanks, I am better now. Still playing with fire every day!
@@miriamquagliato1149 Is it oxy propane? Assuming the acetlyne would be to dirty and leave black residue?
@@The_Conqueeftador yes

Here is who you need to contact. I am just the one who interviewed her. facebook.com/thegypsyphoenix?mibextid=ZbWKwL
Very nice. Are you using a oxygen machine for your oxygen?.

Check out the discription to find her on Facebook. I just happened to see her in action and recurved permission to make a video of her technique.
I just found your video, very nice and informative. Are you using the oxygen machine for the oxy/acetylene setup?
You are so talented 😍 do you clear coat your stuff? If so what product do you use?
Fascinating. I wanna try. What type of touch and gas are you using? Do you ever get up to Utah?
Please check for links below to her pages. Im not the artist, I just saw her and though she needed some recognition for her work.
What torch set up do you use is it oxy acet, or oxy propane?
amazing!!! what polymer for the sealer?
I use Protectaclear, it not only seals out the atmospheric oxygen, but also flexes with the metal.
Do u have any in depth tutorials?
Please read the description where our will find links to contact the artist. This is an interview I did with her.
“Thank You” so much for sharing! Beautiful work! My question to you is…..What product do you use to seal the Fire Painting on the metal?
If I may ask, what is the brand of torch that you use?
In the discription below is a link to her Facebook page. I saw her last year and had to do an interview with her as this is was so cool to watch.
