That's how I cook too 😂 it's very common for people with eating disorders, because we hate food.
@@ZazooEel57people with ED don't per se hate food and therefore only eat a few ingredients. It's about control and fear. I know many people with ED say they hate food but in reality they are scared of others products than their 'safe' foods. And admitting that can even be a whole thing in itself.
Maybe some do hate food but it's not the thing that is very common in ED's when you are ready to admit WHY you truly hate food.

Honestly, the fact that she figured out the whole redirect thing, where if she gets a random urge to eat, she gets up and do something else, I think that’s actually a huge deal. I think a lot of her hunger is directly correlated to boredom. I do the same thing, if I’m hanging out, and I get the urge to eat some thing even though I know I’m not actually hungry. I find that getting up and doing a task makes me forget all about it. I cannot believe I’m actually saying this but, good job Amber 👏

as a fat vegetable girly, i do not think amberlynn is a vegetable girly at all. like 90% of my diet is salads. yeah, i'm still fat bc i'm disabled and my body works against me all the time, but like. give me ANY excuse to eat (mostly raw) cauliflower or carrots or broccoli or leafy greens and i am ON IT. or like, blanch it if you're looking to cook it! the one thing i've realized with watching amberlynn's cooking over the years is it's overwhelmingly beige - and vegetables are SO not beige.

That's not how thermodynamics works. You're fat because you eat more calories than you burn off. Your body doesn't magically create energy out of thin air. It's all about how many calories you consume.

Artificial sweeteners can be more addicting then sugar (100x sweeter then sugar means increased dopamine hit), and research indicates they may be linked to increased risks in many health conditions, some similar to sugar (obesity, hypertension, diabetes, mood disorders, etc.) Your level of tolerance for any specific artificial sweetener also varies...there are some people who can't tolerate any AS and some who can only tolerate specific ones.
Not trying to demonize it but artificial sweeteners are made out to be a healthier option then sugar when research doesn't really support that.
@@PointsofData too much of anything is bad, that's why i said you'd have to drink a lot a day for it to have an effect on you, which is something research shows. research like that is done on rats, which are very different from humans. i have been far more addicted to sugar than i have to any artificial sweetener, a zero sugar beverage is great to enjoy and i don't think anyone drinks a 12 pack of them a day. some people might have sensitivities to different kinds of sweeteners bc everyone's body is different, but overall they're perfectly fine in moderation

3) you can be intolerant to any food on an individual basis and this is not limited to artificial sweeteners
i dont think demonizing a single nutrient is valid considering the negative health outcomes associated with higher sugar intakes can be boiled down to consuming a hypercaloric diet (as all of the diseases you mentioned are sequelae that arise from obesity). with the landscape of modern foods the energy surplus just frequently arises from sugar which is the cause of the correlation
Authentic Italian food is definitely not spicy (my mum is Italian) Italian peppers such as Calabria are quite spicy but they are mainly eaten in the south and there are some hot chillies, but in the main Italians are into more delicate flavours

I mean, in all fairness to her, I will sometimes pretend I'm on a cooking show when I'm alone. Especially if I'm in a manic state, it helps me to want to make food when I rarely ever eat while manic.

Perfectly fine to be your own cheerleader in life; you have to be.
