Haha. Thank you. I do all kinds of stuff in the shop. Most of it doesn’t get recorded. I figured since I was already doing it someone might like to see it.
Sure. I’m a big fan of using what you got. I’m pretty sure you can get an inexpensive tabletop drill press tho. It will help a lot to keep things perfect.
I have no desire to build my own amp but love watching you work and explain what goes into them. I think it'd be cool to see a shop tour in the future. I always find myself looking in the background for all the cool stuff you've made/collected. Really look forward to your videos! Keep it up!
I felt better to see how much your approach parallels my own, but I need to get a drill press. Already started pricing nibblers... Your presentations are always enjoyable and informative. I hope that one on stenciling will be in the pipeline at some point...
I like the punch out kits there nice but alum chassis is kinda over kill I use a old school 3” porta cable with a fine tooth blade i use these at work for precision cuts on metal or sometimes a grinder wheel
Sometimes I use the appropriate drill bit. Other times I use the step bit. Sometimes drill bits wander of mark slightly. Step bits let you draw your hole using the faceplate as a template and nail it perfectly.
This is the kind of video YT should be for. Very specific things only few crazy people would embark on. Thank you!
Also, do you think it would be doable using an handheld drill? I don't have space for a vertical drill..

Apart from the interesting video I’m wondering what music track you had in the background. I was enjoying the guitar (maybe the reverb even more!😄).

Very helpful and informative. Thanks.
Cool! Where did you get your faceplates made?

That would work great for aluminum. I also do steel chassis. In comparison aluminum is a breeze.
What size punch is it for the Power tubes sockets ?
My punches are 11/16” for fender pilot light holes, 7/8” for preamp sockets and 1-3/16 for power tube sockets. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching.
Do they not have Pot-sized chassis punches?

You've got to SERIOUSLY work on Edge Distance.
There is a formula.
You might be able to tell I’m not so much of a formula guy. But I can learn.
Hello, would love to get a hold of you to discuss some things....do you have a website or contact info page? thanks!
4:54 NEVER do that again if you like to have your left hand :P
Good point.
