- Title says it all!
I have no idea how I keep finding these Rare Closings, but I’m not complaining! If anything, these Rare Closings seem to be the videos that get the most views and comments nowadays, so the more of these I can find, the better!
Enjoy!
And if you haven’t seen my 7/15 update video yet, please check that out too! It includes this tape, plus many, many more!
That looks rare.
Though I think it's nothing compared to Betty Boop and American Flyers, those two take the crown of the Strangest VHS Closing.
I'd say the Strangest one is still Runaway Bride, but those two come pretty close!
Oh, the VHS with the dots on the grayish WSOD? That one is strange too, but im still giving the crown to those two, so very close second to me honestly.
Interesting
Definitely.
This was originally an Allied Artists Productions film that was distributed at the time by Lorimar-Telepictures, of whom would be folded into Warner Bros. circa 1989, hence the reason for their then-current opening and closing logos being tacked on for this particular release. Therefore, I have absolutely no clue why or how CBS/Fox Video got the home video rights to this movie. Probably has something to do with Capital Cities/ABC Video Enterprises, Inc./ABC Distribution Company, or something, because after all, a good amount of Alfred Hitchcock’s films were usually quite interesting in terms of who released them on video, like for example, the ones that were initially released by Paramount are now at NBCUniversal/Comcast, because he was apparently an MCA executive when he was still alive, of whom had already owned its fair share of the Universal Studios by that point. However, this wasn’t the first time this had happened, as the B&W Sherlock Holmes classics from 20th Century Fox, and later Universal, were also put out on video by CBS/Fox, under the Key Video banner, under license from WB.
I have Parenthood printed in the 11th week of 1994 With no barcode with Burgundy WSOD printings it has a longer wsod for over a minute or so then goes back to black screen then it ends with static/blue screen. I showed it all the way back on July 17 2019 when i got it.
Wow. That's amazing!
That's awesome
That Has Got To Be The Rarest Closing Ever
I'd still say the Runaway Bride tape is the rarest one. But this one is still up there.
Ok that is insane.
Reminds me of that Friday the 13th (1987) VHS
That's exactly what I said in the video! LOL! Glad that we both agree on that!
That’s awesome!
The rare closing god must have bestowed a blessing upon you.
It certainly did!
