they need to work on the harmonies.
I agree that they need a lot of work if they are to gain wider popularity but, they're even younger than 1D was at the start, and I thought their harmonies were among their stronger points. Another thing: Is Simon trying to combine Collabro with 1D by creating such a large, unwieldy group? Don't be surprised if UR is, by their own choice, only a quartet by the end of 2020. I also agree that this show, done in such a short time, is probably Simon's worst idea ever! Unfair to the public and terribly unfair and CRUEL to such young performers.
@@winsboy I totally agree....when I first heard the concept I thought there will be multiple groups going against each other not just one girl group & one boy group....I feel like it was too rushed...also Simon is just too desperate to bring down the Kpop industry...I mean come on that industry was not built overnight!
@@winsboy and I do agree that this group has potential to eventually become big....but they need a lot more work because now the industry is more competitive than it was back when 1D got together.

If Simon wanted a band he could have picked a group of contesters from the ‘normal’ Xfactor. This show just straightaway jumped to the final so they didn’t have much time to connect with the audience as much as when there were multiple live shows and they did not do well in picking a boy band group.
It might have been interesting to see a full X Factor season with nothing but bands/singing groups. Form multiple groups with soloists and also take on groups who have been formed in advance. Do boys groups, girls groups, and mixed groups. Do some young groups and groups with older folks (adults, not teens!). Could make for an interesting show!

tiffc00 I was hoping for something like this too. Like, a full show where they take their time to put the group(s) together. If they do this again, I hope they consider a format like the one you’ve mentioned. Cos I do think it’s a good concept, the execution just feels too rushed.
More importantly, they didn't have much time to connect with each other as a band or as people. still, they're pretty amazing and I truly hope they stay together. someone said the harmonies needed more work - while I thought that was one of their stronger points.
Everyone seems to forget that 1D, the most popular vocal group since the Beatles, only placed third. Does anyone remember who actually won? 'Nuff said!

@@1992girlll -- Note: you are the only one here remembering. My comment was meant figuratively. Has Matt's popularity/fame reached anywhere near that of 1D ...or for that matter, any of its members since they split? Personally, I loved Matt's voice but remember, these shows are also (sometimes unfortunately) popularity/beauty contests.. Otherwise, how the hell can a cute trained dog act beat a singer? The competitions should be between acts with the same talent so judges don't have to compare apples vs oranges.
@@winsboy I was just joking. I think the succes of Unwritten Rule will be closer to the succes of Matt Cardle then the succes of One Direction. Wich is not that bad. I work at a popstage and I see many singers/bands who perform for less that 70 people. I bet Matt has more succes. But the succes of 1D was extrodinary that was already shown during the x factor time. They were mobbed by fans after the third liveshow. In my country (the Netherlands) 1D already had a huge fanclub when they were only on the x factor. If they compare them with that succes they will only disapoint themselfs.

The idea of the boys in a band makes more sense than the girls . I feel like everyone of the girls is better as solo . But the boys are better together .

Stereo Kicks sounded hella better and even they failed and fell apart. It's gonna be very very hard to get a group going that even comes ankle high to 1D.

Most of us are in choir and our teachers give us pointers of what NOT to do
as much as I understand your view, the boys are quite underwhelming for a stage like this. Sure if this is a high school performance we'll cut all the slack, but for a PROFESSIONAL CONTRACT? There are MANY much much more talented and skilled young kids out there.
@@saijinkai I get your point. But I see potential in them. Like in a year imagine what they will sound like . And also I feel like kids now a days are so talented and already went to vocal coaches and they sound like grown-ups singing. So I guess it is fresh to hear them begin their journey .
@@mingueeno I know they are not perfect and I know you have a point . But dont you see what will they sound like after some training . I guess we all got used to hearing kids after they go to vocal coaches and stuff and then sound like perfection . But they are just starting their journey and they just need some proper training .

Everyone is like why they not as good as 1D because during that time they sang once a week and since X factor low key dying they gotta shortened the season
Maybe a rap would've helped with the group's identity but man....this whole X factor making the band thing kind of blows. The whole reason why groups in the normal xfactor did well was because of the bootcamp. They thrived when they had to compete alongside other groups, learn how to harmonize, work on stage presence and if/when they made it through; they nurtured chemistry through the judges houses preparations etc. The boys look displaced here.😫😶

Simon seems really unaware tbh. Does he not know that the standard for boy bands has risen drastically? Did he really think that he'd whip up a good boy band in a few short weeks? Did he really think that he's going to fill One Direction's shoes, let alone compete with the K-pop industry, with what are mostly Tik Tok boys? 🤦🏾♀️ He's throwing these boys to the wolves and like you said, they'll get chewed up if they don't improve.

They’re good as individuals (Reece is definitely the best one - the “sleepy one” is the only that’s not that good), but as a band they kinda suck compared to the girls :(

ninguno cuaja, las chicas se ven mejor como solistas y los chicos anda muy meh (0 presencia escenica, vocales simples, tal vez si le hubiesen metido unos buenos raperos podria funcionar pero lo dudo pq ya no hay participantes). Además no tuvieron tiempo suficiente para que se conozcan mas y tengan química.
Si piensan debutar un grupo asi en el mercado se pierde,la misma formula, lo mismo de siempre, nada inoovador :v
