    I kinda hate when talents breeze by all the side content because they have to for the interest of the stream. I 100% rather the girls enjoy it fully on their own time

    Id like to remind everyone who is coming across this clip. This is from a stream thats 4 weeks old. Not a long time but things can change and they have. Biboo did another run, irys and Ina are back to finish the job so, take this clip with a grain of salt.

    Maybe its already in the works just maybe a little bit of time until she can continue her Elden Ring playthrough, plus Ina and Irys already started to continue their Elden Ring streams without any problem, i do hope Kronii eventually gets to play Elden Ring again

      That’s kinda the weird thing to me. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this from her recently. Also Biboo is playing as well. And I wouldn’t exactly call the other girls less busy or organized.

    What's sad with this whole perms thing is that they have to get them for things such as mods as well. And apparently if you want to play a pack, you have to get them from each mod's creator individually PLUS a person who compiled a pack if it's a premade one

      That's what I was wondering too. I guess it means for FromSoft games it's not a company wide perm, but an individual perm, and Biboo, Ina and Irys just renew their perms way ahead of time and are very diligent about it.

    • @beemoh
      @beemoh 4 місяці тому +8

      Calli couldn't get perms for (IIRC) The Witcher 3 when others could because she was in Japan at the time- it's possible that Elden Ring is in a similar position? Ina and Biboo are in Japan at the moment for the NY concert, the world tour and Advent's 3D, and IRyS lives there so that would lend some credence to the idea.

      @@eelmacaco3597 Could be a manager thing, we don't know the relationships that Hololive members have with their managers but if I had to take a guess I would say the members that you mentioned probably just told their managers to get the perms for set dates rather than just individual days.
      So the scenario would probably be something like "Manager I want to play elder ring thoroughout the rest of the month, so I need you to submit perms everyday so that I can have the ok to play elder ring everyday without worrying about it." And then the managers do just that, Kronii's relationship with Hololive management has been rough as we've seen recently so I would assume she doesn't want to rely on them so much for something like this.

    Is this a Fromsoftware L or a Bandai L?

    • @TheOfficialMarioGalaxyFanclub
      @TheOfficialMarioGalaxyFanclub 4 місяці тому +12

      Fromsoftware has full ownership of the ip, while bandai has partial rights to the ip.
      Unfortunately I’d have to guess it is fromsoftware’s L. Could be wrong since bandai manages content creator events related to elden ring. Would require more digging into how the perms are acquired and who they get them from.

      All indie streamers are not business entities so gaming studios give them free pass. Cover Corp is a business who manages hololive talents, gaming studios and publishers are gonna treat them as a business transaction.

    • @TumchieTheScot
      @TumchieTheScot 4 місяці тому +27

      Simple answer is, they don't need to bother. It's only companies like Hololive and Nijisanji that need to ask, due to it being a corporation using another corporation's product. At least that's my monkey brain understanding. I think it's Japan specific, which is why other corpos are a little looser with these things

    • @Medardusai
      @Medardusai 4 місяці тому +9

      It's not a Non-VTuber vs VTuber thing. It's a big company with many processes vs small company/indie thing.
      Big companies have many processes and regulations because they are big and are easy targets.
      In the case of streaming games - technically streaming a game is not transformative content (depending on the judges etc.pp.) so it would be possible for a publisher or developer to copyright strike videos/VODs of their games.
      _Usually_ that isn't a problem, because small creators/indies/small companies either don't care or just get a blanked permission (a la "may i stream/make videos of your video game x?") and are done with it.
      And in 99% of the cases that is perfectly fine because it is free advertising that the publisher/developer accepts. And when there are problems the videos/VODs are simply deleted.
      However for big companies like Hololive - when they have a dispute with one of the publishers/developers (e.g. due to a game not being portrayed well) every single VOD and video of a game produced by a Hololive talent is a liability - because _technically_ the publisher/developer could start copyright striking the videos for _all_ of Hololives talents.
      That would be a big hit and potentially cause problems with members' channels.
      To prevent they have processes like that you have to repeatedly get permissions to play specific games.
      I can imagine that the cadence they have to get perms for for Elden Ring is due to Bandai Namco which is known to be quite litigious.

      Ever since the vod purge back in 2020 Cover has been extremely strict/careful with permissions and copyright issues. You can blame the horrible Japanese copyright and fair use laws for that.
