I'm a Pentecostal girl. We really got them songs from the Baptist church. We all 1 though God had no religion.

The founding Pastor of Greater Harvest in Chicago had got saved under The Late Bishop Charles Mason it has been said that Bishop Mason requested that he stay in the Baptist Church to bring sanctification to the Baptist Church. This church has alway had sanctified backgound.

Bishop Mason, founder of the COGIC, Inc and the Founder of GHMBC were close friends! Bishop Mason told the founder not to leave the Baptist Church so he could teach them about tarrying for the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost Baptism...I just love to see GHMBC ministry today and how they go forth in praising GOD! Praise the Lord Greater Harvest Missionary Baptist Church of God in Christ! lol

I was truly blessed watching this praise period. It's good to sing these songs from our parent's journey back in the day. Thank you Pastor Thomas for keeping these songs relevant. I enjoy the new praise and worship songs but sometimes, you have to go back and have an experience with and introduction (for this new generation) to the songs that brought us over. I'm a worship leader at my church and I have to minister songs that will touch all generations. This was AWESOME! God bless you and your ministry. I grew up in the COGIC church but now serve in a Baptist church on staff and it's refreshing to see the two meshed together.

I was told that the reason why Greater Harvest had tambourines because they did not have a set of drums. So in order to keep the beat, the tambourines were used. To this day, they have been a major praise factor at Greater Harvest.
I thoroughly enjoy the videos posted on this channel. I'm hoping to get the opportunity to visit Greater Harvest MBC in Chicago soon!

pastor Thomas is from Greater Harvest. This churches founder was one of Bishop CH Masons good friends and father in the gospel. Holiness has always been the way for Greater Harvest Holy Ghost Baptist Church
The pastor has to have a holiness background because he turned the missionary Baptist church into a straight sanctified-holiness church. Fire 🔥 I say and not just good time.

Chicago can play the heck out of some tambourines. Fellowship use to give you a tambourine fit and cosmopolitan still does. First church has been playing tambourines for the last few years. But this here is ridiculous,lol. Ridiculous in a good way.....................
