Thinking about privilege, red lines and vans.

It’s not lost on me that I am able to take this excursion to work remotely and see the country in large part because of decisions made by bureaucrats over 70 years ago on the other side of the country. We all work very hard and deserve what we earn. But in this video I discover how life can be richer when we consider where our privilege comes from and what we can do with it.

Mom’s parents bought in Paramount in 1956? and Dad’s parents bought in Long Beach in 1956(?) Built in 1953. Marked by stars on map. Neither in yellow (declining) or red (hazardous) areas. These maps were from between 1935 and 1940.
